Thank you! I think this was the first time I've just made bacon on a random work day, lol.

Morning! I'm going to head out on a walk here soon. The kids were outside last night around 9pm squirting the windows with squirt guns and they didn't dry over night - so that tells you how humid it is out there! I do miss the briskness of morning during NC summers.

QOTD: I'm sitting on the couch. To the right is a side table with my coffee and a micro USB charger from my niece or nephews tablet. To the left is my noise canceling headphones. Not very exciting!

My Food:

  • Coffee w/ Cream x3
  • Eggs, Sausage, Sweet Potato, Strawberries
  • Strombolli w/ Veggies (probably broccoli)

I like that! My BIL used to call the humid air on Cape Cod "soft air".

Good morning all! So I just found out yesterday that I get Friday off! Yay! Normally when a holiday falls on a weekend we don't observe it during the week, but I guess this year they changed their minds. I could not figure out why in emails and meetings everyone kept saying it's a short week! Ha! Guess I just didn't get the memo! Anyway, that was a nice surprise for a Monday morning.

Tomorrow I have a six month follow up with my neurologist, but I got a call on Friday saying they still aren't seeing any patients in office and that I could push my appointment out or have a virtual visit so I opted for the virtual visit. May as well get it out of the way. We are celebrating my dads birthday this weekend. I ordered a patriotic cake since his birthday is so close to the 4th.....July 5th actually and growing up I remember my mom always having a red white and blue cake for him. So this year will be no different. Lol

My accountability has just been in the toilet lately. It's that time of month again and these cravings have been insane. Yesterday was a lot better but no where near perfect. I'm trying to get it together though!

QOTD: I am sitting on the couch with the kitten climbing all over me like I'm some jungle gym as usual. Lol. And geez she already has some sharp claws! To the right of me is an antique end table that my mom got me from this antique shop that is absolutely beautiful! I love the design on it and have never seen anything like it. It has a lamp sitting on top of it. To the left of me is another table with another lamp. It's also holding my satellite box and DVD player.

I used to hate that time of the month for many reasons (not having it is one of the benefits of getting old), but especially when trying to lose/maintain weight. The cravings and the water weight gain made me somewhat literally crazy. But I liked the loss that usually came after it.

When I was young I hated having a period for years I would get a Depo shot every 3 months to prevent it and when the IUD was available I had that inserted and I think that lasted for 5 years. If you hate having periods like I did there are options to get rid of them. Both of these options can be stopped quickly if you'd like to get pregnant.
