What's on your (PHOTO FRIDAY) Menu?

Happy Fri-YAY everyone!!!!! Today is the second Friday in a row that I took the day off but woke up before 3:30am. Today I blame my cat. He has figured out to open drawers! So this morning at 3am he opened up a drawer in my nightstand and was rifling though my stuff. LOUDLY. I swear he was doing it to wake me up. He's way too smart for his own good! Shame him, please!
Sorry I never got back on to read yesterday. Yesterday was kind of nutty. I worked 12 hours to be able to take today "off". Plus, I found out that my AMAZING assistant got a promotion in another department, so I am losing him, soon. Thankfully the other department is being understanding about the fact that our work is in it's really busy season right now, so they won't take him from me right away, but I am worried about how I am going to get support during a hiring freeze. And even if I am given the green light to hire, how in the world will I be able to train someone and get them up to speed while we are workin remotely? Ahhhhhh. I need to stop thinking about it on my day off...
In brighter news, yesterday was gorgeous. 88 degrees, bright sun, no clouds, and no humidity. It was glorious. Today is going to be a little more overcast and chances of showers, so I think I will focus on getting my craft area together and organized. I have been spreading out all over the house a lot over the last few months, and need to reign it all back in!
My contribution to PHOTO FRIDAY is #FlashbackFriday from 2 years ago when Marianne and Cynthia visited us for a week in Boston. We had so much fun hanging out, walking all over the place, exploring. With lots of lobster and wine sprinkled in, of course! I wish we could get together again soon. I miss these ladies!
QOTD: If money and training didn't stand in the way, would you be interested in being an astronaut and traveling through space? I gotta say no for me. I mean, I am sure I'd love the experience of looking back down at Earth and seeing the stars, but I can't imagine that I wouldn't be terrified about something going wrong or not being able to come back the entire time. I was about 10 when we watched the Challenger shuttle explode live while we were in class, and I don't think I have ever really gotten over the trauma of that :(
I love that picture! We had so much fun!
I laughed at your cat rifling through your drawer. What cat does that? Ha. My dog used to head butt me when she wanted me to get up.
QOTD: Firm no. I get dizzy and motion sickness very easily. I can only imagine in space.
As of next week I will no longer be holding down the local Mall against the zombie apocalypse. GNC filed ch 11 bankruptcy and my store is being closed. I have been busting my ass the last 2 days packing up the store. I guess I have a very long July 4th weekend coming up.

I saw that news this morning and wondered if your store was one of them. Sorry to hear that!

Can I say I'm happy you are no longer going to that empty mall? It gave me the hibbie gibbies. Are they selling their stuff? Can we buy their merch underprice?

Happy Fri-Yay!
Our office is closed next week, so this is kind of like a vacation Friday. Not quite the same excitement, because we aren't going anywhere and the emails will still be going strong next week, but its better than a Tuesday never the less.
I found out this week that I was too young to qualify for an early retirement offer. I missed the deadline by about six months. I don't know whether I would have taken it but it would have been nice to have had the option.
Pictures are from our trip to Nashville a couple of weeks ago.
QOTD: Why not? It's never been a dream of mine, but it would be pretty cool up there.
Breakfast: Protein bar
Lunch: brisket
Snack: nuts
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!
