What's on your Wednesday Menu?
I loved having chickens they are so entertaining, unfortunately the raccoons also liked them.We can have 3 in my city, but after the first 2 were no more I gave the last one to my neighbor who has a much better setup than I did. I felt if I couldn't protect them then I shouldn't have them.

I worry about predators too. Mostly raccoons because I know they are smart and they are everywhere.

Don't be too jealous. They have thorns. They are unruly and disobedient fruits, lol. The kids love it though. ;)
Good morning, everybody!
This bad project is kicking back with a vengeance. I guess the good news is that it should be completely done by the first week in August.
I have a board meeting for my organization this morning. We will decide whether to have our golf outing in modified form or try and just have a virtual fundraiser. I hope that we play, because I am not sure if the virtual fundraiser will have the same awareness building as getting out on the course, even if its in modified form. As far as the actual golfing, I could take it or leave it.
It sounds like baseball will be backing some form, starting in August - it will be nice to have something to watch at night. I am running out of Maine Cabin Masters re-runs and I can't take the Barnwood Builders guy showing me how to make drink coasters any more.

Being raised by a family with lots of Irish immigrants, I believed in the fairies, leprechauns, witches, banshees, and elves. Fortunately, I believed that they all lived back in the old country and never came to America. I wanted to go to Ireland and walk through the woods and talk to the fairies and find that tricky little leprechaun who kept his pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Yes, sleep is critical to most everything I think (says the woman who couldn't get the AC on last night so only slept about 4 hours - figured out the problem this morning).
For those who noticed that I mentioned a coffee meeting yesterday, the coffee guy was nice. We met in a beautiful cape cod village, sat outside and talked. He is nice, kind, and spiritual. Also, a recent widower (his wife died 2 days after my DH). But he has two grown daughters at home (late 30's and early 40's). Sounds like it is permanent which makes me pause... But it wasn't awkward and made me feel more confident about meeting and talking to guys like that. I have another coffee meeting today with a guy who lives in my town. Who knows? If nothing else this is good practice.
QOTD: ETA: I thought snakes could climb up the side of my house and in my window. BTW, I lived in the suburbs so rarely saw snakes.
