YEESH that story... Glad things are looking up for him even though it sounds like it will be a long recovery. I bet DS will be a lot more careful even if he doesn't admit that he will to you.

So scary!! You raised a good young man there - he knew to get the ambulance on the way and then to get your help next! Smart boy.

When i was a kid I would eat Cheez-its until my teeth and jaws literally hurt. I don't even think that I liked them, but there is something addictive in there.

Good morning, everybody!
Work is off to a bad start today, so I am running late and will be brief. My daughter takes the first part of the CPA exam this morning, so I am wishing her well. It's changed quite a bit since 32 years ago when I was sitting for it, but I'm sure that the stress is the same.
QOTD: Before surgery, candy. Peanut butter cups (but only if they were fresh). Nothing was more disappointing than a stale cup. Since surgery, probably Smart Pop.
Breakfast: sausage and cottage cheese
Snack: protein bar
lunch: Hello Fresh
Snack: nuts
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

QOTD- Movie theater popcorn, it is so addictive. My own popcorn never tastes the same even buying Flavacol (the stuff that turns the popcorn yellow) good thing too since I'd probably eat it every night. Lately it's been pretzels, I can't stop eating them so I'm not going to buy anymore, it's the salt I love. But with 450mg of sodium per ounce it's no wonder I'm retaining water.
I got in a little over a 2 mile walk in yesterday before I went to the barn. My head has finally received the message that I can't do the things that got me to almost 300lbs and not gain weight. What a concept. I'm trying the Fitbit Premium, it's free for 90 days to see if I can get some workouts in. I'm also logging my food, it's really the only way I can be accountable. My jeans being too tight were the wake-up call. I've been down this road before and I know where it ends up, and it's not a good place.
It's supposed to be 90 today, so I'm going to get my walk in the next couple of hours before it's too hot. I went a little after 2pm yesterday and it was almost too hot then. If I don't get it in, I can use the dreadmill but I'd rather not. I need to be consistent about working out, if I can get into a routine I will do the best.
Have a great day everyone!
Edited to add photo apparently my horse doesn't like to take selfies....
