What's on your Tuesday Menu?

Morning all! Uh-oh. I have been up since 2am for absolutely no good reason. I was cold with the AC on, then too hot with it off, and... anyway after 45 minutes I finally quit and got up. The kitties were very excited for a surprise 2:45am can of cat food :)
I am going to take my extra hours this morning to get ahead on my Spanish lessons and do an extra long run, I guess. Maybe do a little crafting? I am determined not to start working, even though I have a billion emails to respond to after sending out a big email update to all of my principals last night.
QOTD: See meme above--what snack can't you be trusted around? I have a cheez-it addiction. I would eat an entire box in one sitting every time if I could.

Good morning everyone.
yesterday was not a good day for me emotionally and physically. I feel like I have at least one more month of hell with the pain. My NP wouldn't give me something different so I am stuck. She is worried if I need it after surgery it wouldn't help as much then. Whatever.... At least I didn't go off the deep end with food.
I have a laser treatment on my left eye this afternoon.
Guessing I just have a bad attitude. I'm tired.
qotd: hmmm...so many lol! Crackers are hard for me to have around. Especially things like goldfish
b:Cheerios multi-grain and almond milk
l:egg with a waffle
d:not sure
s: not sure on this either. Prob a tbs of almond butter somewhere in day.

I really think chronic pain and other comorbidities can make post op life more challenging in some ways. Of course we are healthier when we lose the extra unhealthy weight but there are often still other health issues we have to contend with and that can be HARD and often seems unfair. It often feels like many providers don't understand the issues that people with chronic pain struggle with every day just to get through the day. It is hard to feel stuck in the pain. I am working on mental exercises to help me accept the pain but it is HARD and it is a struggle. Great job on not going overboard with food. I hope the eye treatment went well.
Morning! I took Aurora for ice cream yesterday and the friend's Mom had rented kittens for her birthday. BEST DAY EVER. Getting to play with kittens offset the fact that there wasn't enough chairs for everyone to sit outside and the temp was "feels like" 106 and we were all wearing masks. Note: Apparently "renting kittens" essentially means that you foster them for 24 hours to give their long term foster a break, and the money you pay is donated to the rescue.
We're having warranty repair work done on our house today, so I may be working from my deck for awhile (although it's supposed to be mid-90's again).
QOTD: Gardetto's Rye Bread Chips. When I was a kid I had a friend who lived in the village (which was a novelty to me, because we couldn't walk to anything from my house). Her parents would put all their change into a jar and that became her spending money. Every time I went there we'd walk to the diner for french fries and then to the gas station where I would buy Gardetto's. I would eat everything BUT the rye chips and save those for last. Now, they make bags of just those chips. I can not just eat a serving and they are murder on my blood sugar. If I look at them I'm going to be 250 for a day.
My Food:
- Coffee w/ Cream x3
- Bacon, Egg, Cheese, Cucumber
- TBD, but something with chicken since we have that to package up tonight and freeze. Maybe Tacos!

What a great concept "renting kittens" is!

I agree! We used to be a foster home for our county's humane society (YEARS ago before we had to get out of that racket because we ended up adopting too many of our charges!!). We usually fostered adults, but we'd occasionally get a litter of kittens. They are fun - but exhausting at times! (esp if there was no mother cat). It would have been great to get a break for a day once in awhile - and fun for the person "renting" them for the day, too!
ok that is hilarious about the gardettos cause my sister and I would fight over them. I would go to get some in the bag and she would have eaten ALL OF THEM. When Walmart started stocking just the rye chips in their own bag, I had to buy 4 bags for my sister because she could not find them anywhere!
