Whats On Your Sunday Menu RNYers (and a few VSGers:)
Mornin' Weekenders!
it looks absolutely gorgeous out - sunny and in the high 60s. And it'll only get up to 81 this afternoon. Rain later on - but not until tonight. So a perfect day to get out and hike or bike ride!! I also have to pick up a couple of things I found on Freecycle and our neighborhood's FB group - a used wireless router for MIL (who hates spending money) and some medications from someone whose cat recently passed, and we happen to use those meds for one of our cats, too! I also need to do some work for one of the organizations I'm in.
QOTD: I'm not sure what I do well -- well, I'm good at finding long-lost people (I even found a friend's birth mother and brother once) and I"m a pretty decent cook.
TSS: 5 y
B: protein pancakes topped with plain Greek yogurt and blueberry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: Fit Frappe
L: a bowl of sausage/potato/kale soup and some yogurt with diced mango
LS: probably L&F yogurt with raspberries
D: marinated salmon. And maybe some kind of veggie
I also have SF Jello, SF popsicles, and cut-up raw veggies for quick, low cal snacks if needed. I also finally bought a thing of those roasted seaweed snacks at Costco last night. I've walked by them a thousand times and always wondered. I checked reviews and they seem to have a cult following, so I bought some last night. They're definitely not for everyone as seaweed has a "fishy" taste, but they were nice and crunchy and salty (and I don't mind "fishy" tastes) - and they're only 20 calories a serving. So there's those, too....
have a great day, everyone!
Good morning and happy Father's Day you Dad's , daddy's, Pop's and Papa's out there! Going to a quiet day today until we head over to have bbq with the kids and grands. Yesterday we ventured out and had to stand in line at the Container Store (a line! Of all the places!) and replaced a piece of luggage for an upcoming trip in July. I just hate wearing that mask! We also got several of the "packing cubes" to play around with and will return them if I'm not awed by them. We had lunch at a really nice, serene new Italian place while out. I did well with a chopped chicken salad and the hubs loved his pizza.
QOTD: well, uhm, I can touch the end of my nose with the tip of my tongue. Go ahead, try it. It was funny when I was a kid, now, as my family knows, I won't do it in public or at a party. I can roll my tongue as well, not everyone can, but my daughter can fold hers into the shape of a spade or a three leaf clover!
Menu is really on the fence today. Going real low cal until I know what my dinner options are. Definitely will get in my PP shake throughout the day and vitamins Yesterday I ate them most calories ever since day of surgery I was down a half pound today, but if my previous history holds true, I'll be up tomorrow. We'll see. I'm still figuring this out as I go .
Peace, Everyone!

I forgot that I can curl my tongue lengthwise and make a sound by blowing through it. LOL!

The mask is much more wearable if you put a few drops of peppermint oil on the part that is where your nose breathes it in. Lemon oil also works. It makes a really big difference. Your mouth will not get dry and it eases your breathing.
I am comfortable walking an hour or more with a mask if I use the peppermint oil.
