What's on your (PHOTO FRIDAY) Menu?
I LOVE that T-shirt! Stay cool today. I couldn't believe how much warmer Worcester was yesterday vs. the Cape and of course the humidity is definitely up today. Beach day for me I think.
I went to Worcester yesterday to see DD, her new apartment and go out to lunch. Her apartment is quite nice! Good location and lots of space, storage and light. She needs more furniture and better arranging though as her former apartment was 1/2 the size. This is a picture of some of the gorgeous roses blooming around her building:
QOTD: Yes, I see my best friend at least a few times a year. We grew up in a suburb of Boston, but she and her husband now live just over the Cape bridge from me and her twin sister lives within 3 miles of my home.

Oh I love that shirt! So cute!
my day yesterday was pretty much crap. I wasn't happy with the fact I need to get laser treatments done on both eyes. Sigh...just have to move forward I guess. It hurt when he asked if I've fallen off the wagon. Eh....
not sure what today will hold. My mom will likely want to go to the thrift store. I'm not feeling great but that's the normal I guess. Pain is off the charts. I go Monday to the pain clinic and I'm hoping they can give me something different that might actually help.
qotd:I am friends with her on FB but she lives in Maine now so we are not that close.
b:egg with one waffle
l:probably another egg if my stomach feels up to it

Mornin' All!
Hot here again today - and then the heavy rains start tomorrow and I think it's supposed to keep up for a few days. I'm meeting a friend for coffee at 9:30 and then have a telehealth appt at 1:30, so I'll have to work in any outdoor exercise at some point (and before it gets too hot!), otherwise, it may be a few days before I can do it again.
accountability was good yesterday and I was down 1.5 lbs this morning. Another 1.5 to go before I lose all my post-colonoscopy weight, which of course is all water since I had so few calories for three days in a row - plus nothing in my intestines (obviously), either. So hopefully the rest of this works its way out by the end of the weekend. At least I'm not feeling as bloated and waterlogged this morning!
QOTD: almost all my childhood friends have died, sadly. A couple of them early deaths - but for the rest, I guess I'm just getting to that age where people start dropping off. Cancer, heart attacks. We lived in several different places when I was growing up - the BF I had from ages 3-7 is still alive, and we keep in touch via Christmas cards, since she's not online. That was from the second city we lived in. City #3 - one of my best friends from 5th grade is still alive and living in Massachusetts (was in Cape Cod for a long time - now in Stockbridge). We're FB friends but don't communicate very often. My other three good friends from that town have all passed. City #4 - my BF from there was the one who died of brain cancer last summer. City #5 - I have a couple of friends from that era that I still keep in touch with via FB. College - both my BF's from college have died. Anyway, I'm not super close with any of these friends who've managed to stay alive, but we do touch base occasionally via FB. A lot of people I knew from my various schools, like JB's, I have zero in common with anymore - I swear I think half of them are now Trumpists. I've looked them up on FB but have never "friended" them or engaged with them because it's pretty clear we have nothing in common at this point.

B: piece of yogurt pie (cheesecake flavored this time, I think - although i have some lemon/blueberry in the fridge as well). If cheesecake, then I'll top it with a fruit compote and 2 T light Cool Whip. Coffee with half & half
MS: more coffee with half & half (meeting a friend)
L: Greek yogurt with 1/2 diced mango
MS: skinny bagel with light creamed cheese and some kind of low-cal protein
D: Beyond Burger on a skinny bun with light Thousand Island
I made some more SF Jello (I was eating it during my colonoscopy prep days - first time I've had it since my pre-surgery liquid diet five years ago, since I'm not a Jello fan. But I've discovered it's a decent sweet treat for very few calories, and so are the SF popsicles I bought (also for the colonoscopy prep), so I'll start keep both around)
have a great day, All!
