What's on your Wednesday Menu?

Morning all! Ugh I was a mess all day yesterday--so tired that I actually felt sick all day. I was ready to crash by about 7:30p, but of course I was waiting for an Instacart order that was 4 hours late. And to add to my misery, he charged me for an entire bag of groceries that he kept for himself. Instacart gave me my money back with no hassle which was great, but I am mostly annoyed that I didn't get my stuff. Instacart service seems to be getting worse and worse. GAH. But at least I got a better night sleep last night, and I feel better already :)
I was also too tired to make good choices yesterday, apparently. No exercise. And I stuck to my menu, but then I had 1/2 of a fresh English muffin that Grim made last night. It was so damn good. So. Damn. Good. The muffin wasn't too high in points, but the butter I slathered on broke my points for the day. I'll do better today.
QOTD: Ok, let's do a silly one. Find your Royal Name! Title: Lord or Lady. First Name: One of your Grandparent's names. Last Name: The last thing you ate then "of" followed by the last store you bought something from.
I like mine. Meet, LADY DOT ENGLISH MUFFIN OF AMAZON ;)
Morning! I have my CT scan tonight at 6pm. I'm excited because I figured out this new hospital actually posts your images in the portal so I theoretically could know what's up with in a couple days instead of waiting 2 weeks until my next appointment. Jon got our porch swing hung last night too. It was down pouring so we didn't add the cushion yet, but I'll take pictures today. We had a record low maximum temperature yesterday at 61 degrees. I think we're finally going to be crawling out of the rain today - just thunderstorms predicted and 71 degrees. I want my mid-80's or more back, damn it.
QOTD: Lady Suzanne York Peppermint Patty of Walmart. That sounds about right Side note, I found York Patty Thins and they are 30 calories each. They are the perfect thing to have something sweet without blowing the bank.
My Food:
- Coffee w/ Cream x3
- Bacon, Eggs, Cheese, Strawberries
- Chicken w/ Veggies, unsure yet what we'll do with the chicken but it's what I have out.

Good idea but it would never work for me--I'd eat the entire package in one sitting!

Good morning all! At least we are halfway through the week. I don't want to jinx it, but at least this week seems to be moving along a little quicker than last week. Yesterday was pretty busy with work and today will be even more busy since one of my co-workers is off so I'll be taking over her duties today plus my own. Accountability yesterday wasn't too bad. Could have made some better choices, but it definitely could have been worse.

Mornin'!
I have to drink the other half of the colonoscopy prep stuff this morning (UGH!), but overall, it hasn't been as bad as last time. Afternoon appointments are definitely the way to go since you don't have to drink the whole gallon the night before - only half of it (and the second half the next morning). By the time you get half way through the gallon you seriously want to barf and don't think you can possibly drink another drop of it, so at least with this method, you don't have to! I was so relieved to put the damn container back in the refrigerator last night! Now, to prep myself for downing the rest of it this morning...
QOTD: Lady Evangeline Jello of Walgreens
TSS: 5 y
B: Jello, maybe some black tea
MS: lemon drops and/or (hard) ginger candy (to help the prep go down....), lots of fluids
L: Jello
D: the other day I was thinking spaghetti and meatless meatballs, but that may be too hard on my stomach - plus I may be too tired after this procedure to make anything like that. So I may just have some yogurt and call it a day!
That prep is so gross! The last time I had one was within a year of my VSG and I didn't think I could handle the gallon. So I asked if there was a different prep with less volume. The person on the phone kept saying that my insurance might not pay for it and I kept saying I didn't care - I would pay if necessary. She finally put the order in and my insurance paid 100%! It was still gross but at least it was less to deal with... Good luck today - as you know once you are done this morning the worst is over!

I did read that there was a prep with less volume.. I'm actually not having trouble handling this volume of liquid, it's just the liquid itself. Not only the taste - but it has this soft, slimy kind of texture to it. UGH! Not sure if the taste/texture of the lower volume one is any better, but at least there wouldn't be as much of it. Maybe I'll ask for that next time...
and yes - the prep is definitely the worst part of this - by far! The procedure is pretty much nothing.
