What's on your Tuesday Menu?

Hey Everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic Monday! Mine was good. Work was busy but not shockingly overwhelming like it was last week. And the weather was perfect, again, so I was able to be outside for awhile and relax. I got my review emailed to me last night and it was all very positive, yay! So with all of that good stuff... why couldn't I sleep last night??? I tossed and turned like a maniac and even had a few vivid scary nightmares. So strange!
I need to be better about food today. I stuck to my menu but I ate three chocolate chip cookies! WTH is wrong with me? I have to cut this out.
QOTD: Do you remember the first "off plan" food you had post-op? I was about 6 months post-op and one of my student's gave me a little goodie bag. I threw it all away except for a Hershey Kiss. I felt so sick for an entire day after I ate it, but I honestly think I had a tummy bug, and it was not actually RH or dumping. But it was good because I didn't want to have any sugar again for a long time! It was about a year later before I tried candy again.
Good morning all! Pretty sleepy this morning despite going to bed earlier last night. I just laid there for a good 2 hours before finally falling asleep. Accountability was good yesterday, but I guess my bad eating habits from the day before finally caught up with me since I'm up a pound this morning. Blah! I swear I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster with this constant up down up down weight!!
QOTD: ice cream.....was on vacation with family several months after surgery and everyone was eating ice cream so I figured I'd treat myself to just a few bites since I'd been working so hard and staying on track. What could a few bites hurt anyway right? Oh boy was I miserable! Was in the bathroom for what seemed like hours. I just wanted to curl up on the bathroom floor and die. All over a few bites of stupid ice cream that wasn't even that good.

I had ice cream once post op (at about 2 years out) and it was the most miserable experience ever. I still feel green thinking about the car ride home where I was moaning and writhing in agony...
Yeah I don't know what it is about ice cream that makes me feel so sick. I can have any other dairy product and feel fine. Even the sugar free ice cream makes me sick. Sigh...it's probably a good thing that my favorite food makes me feel so bad. If it didn't I'd end up eating too much of it and defeat the purpose of my surgery. Lol

Weight ups and downs are normal. And I almost always have a one day delay from high eating to higher weight (weird isn't it?). Here is a graph of my weight over a few months of losing which I have shown here a couple of times. Even if I am fully on maintenance mode it is a bouncy road:

Hearing everyone's ice cream horror stories has kept me from trying it so thank you! I have tried a few bites of the high protein one but not a fan. I freeze my light and fits for an ice cream treat!

I want to love those high protein ones so much but I really don't. I have thrown 2 away after a few bites now. I need to stop buying them--they will never be Gelato!
Love the L&F yogurts frozen! My favorite is freezing the strawberry cheesecake one. Makes me think I'm having strawberry cheesecake ice cream! Yum! I don't care for the high protein ice creams either. I have a freezer full of halo top, but I'm gonna end up throwing them out because I don't like the taste. The peanut butter one was decent, but the rest I did not care for!

Morning! Blah, it's going to be another cold and rainy day. It was about 20 degrees below average temperatures yesterday and I think today is going to be a smidge colder. I truly have nothing to complain about, but if I'm going to continue to be in quarantine (because we're still over here doing the stay-at-home thing), then it would be really nice if the weather could cooperate and make it nice to be outside in the evenings!
QOTD: I think it was a couple tiny bites of a slice of cheesecake. It would have had to be have been at least 8-10 months out, because I didn't even touch a vegetable for 5.5 months Oh, to remember those early surgery days when you're all "XXlbs lost and I'm never going back!". It felt good to have iron clad will power and a good reason to say no to the candy dish at work. I went through my first birthday PO without any kind of cake or anything, I do remember that.
My Food:
- Coffee w/ Cream x3
- Egg, Brussel Sprouts w/ Bacon, Cheese (this is delicious btw), Strawberries
- TBD, it's Jon's dinner night. I think he was going to make stromboli again.
