What's on your Monday Menu?
Good morning All! Had a wonderful weekend, got out and took a great walk and got some boring chores done. A win all around for me. Powering up for my work day. My team partner is still out til Wednesday as well as one of my critical support staff. I should be slamming busy today and tomorrow. Time should fly!
QOTD: I took a job at an "apartment finder" company. Total BS. Sell the folks a list of available apartments that we culled from the want ads. The office where we worked was icky and sketchy and I hated it right away. 90% commission based. I was young, had a new baby and my husband didn't make much money either. I kept the job for about 6 months, transferring away from selling to creating the list at home for the company. God, I hated that place. However, it kept us fed for the 6 months and was the motivating factor to be looking for a better job. I found one, started as the receptionist and 38 years later, I am still here as the General Manager. I rotated through every job in this company, except AR, and so I know exactly what I am asking my guys to do when I ask. The owner and I share the same philosophy, which is our success comes on the backs of our employees, and we treat them as well as we can. We have loyalty and a feeling of extended family here. Retirement looms for me, but I've had a great run!

So cool that you have been able to find a good place to stay in for so long. I have had a tremendous amount of job changes in the last few years--I hope I am done until I retire, now (still 20+ years away!).
Morning everyone! Happy Monday! I had a pretty busy weekend. Saturday we went over my biological father's for the first time. Figures as soon as we found each other the quarantine went into effect! So it was really nice to hang out and get to know everyone better. Hopefully now that things are opening up we can all hang out more.
Yesterday we woke up to go for a walk and there were police everywhere. Someone vandalized our neighbors house by spray painting very horrible things all over their entire house. They were calling them racist and a lot of very bad words. We felt horrible for them they are elderly and in their 80s. I don't think they are racist but I don't know them very well. The police told us they caught the guy and it was a white man who was just mad that our neighbor had called the police on him because he rides his 4-wheeler up and down the street all hours of the night. It is so sad that people are using what's going on in the world to loot and vandalize ugh. Makes my heart hurt! We did offer to help them clean it but they said they hired professionals to come do it.
I was good with food decisions all weekend, except Saturday when we were at my bio dad's. They had ordered pizza but I did have broccoli with ricotta cheese pizza. So it's healthy because it's veggies right?? lol. I didn't do too much exercise but walking but I did an hour of Zumba already this morning!
QOTD: What was your most memorable "first day on the job" experience? Hmmm I don't think I have anything memorable because nothing is coming to mind.
B:coffee and premier protein
L:protein shake
D:Sesame Chicken
S:greek yogurt/WW chocolate chip muffin
