Whats On Your Sunday Menu RNYers (and a few VSGers:)
Good morning, happy Sunday!
I hit 136lbs this morning. I am 1lb away from my goal weight, which is amazing. I am now thinking I need to re-evaluate my goal weight.
QOTD - definitely a morning person. I do believe it can change, as it has for me. I used to be a night owl.
breakfast - none fasting, hot coffee, hot tea
Lunch - up in the air, but thinking crispy baked tofu with molé sauce, veggies
Dinner - def grilled veggies, and either rice or pasta.
have a great day!
Christina
Let it begin with me.

Congratulations on being so close to goal! At 4 years post-WLS I weigh less than my original WLS goal but more than where I maintained for 2.5 years. I wanted to get back in my smallest clothes but be at a more maintainable level.

Good morning all! Woke up with a headache from hell this morning. Fell asleep on the couch last night and forgot to marinate my salmon. Didn't wake up until almost 4 in the morning. Sigh... My taste buds must be messed up as nothing tastes appealing to me. My accountability was pretty good yesterday aside from the one bite of lemon cream cheese pie I made for my parents. It didn't taste good to me though so at least it didn't make me want more. My parents loved it or at least they pretended to. Lol. Saw two of my aunts (moms sisters) yesterday. It was the first time I have seen them in months and they are very opinionated and speak their minds. They went on about how different I looked and one even said I looked anorexic and not to lose too much as I don't want to make myself sick. Really? I am far from being anorexic. I am still in the overweight BMI range and highly doubt I'll ever be underweight. It will be a miracle if I ever make it to a normal BMI. And I am definitely not starving myself. I love food wayyy too much. I think they are just so used to seeing me very obese my whole life that it's a shock to them. Gotta love their compliments though....not the typical oh you look great! But rather you look so pale and anorexic. Ha!
QOTD: I'm definitely a night owl so my best work is done at night. I seem to have more motivation at night and it's when most of my house chores get done. My favorite job was one where I worked second shift. Although I am able to get work done in the mornings too....after coffee that is!
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda X 2
L: 2 oz low sodium turkey
D: TBD
S: L&F yogurt and fruit
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19
Yeah, family can be tough sometimes!

Good morning and happy beautiful Sunday to you all. It's clear and a little on the cool side here so far today. Plan on a walk in a bit. We are babysitting our grand dogs this weekend, so we've got about three hundred pounds of dog in the house right now. Three are two years and under and the Old girl, a twelve year old Great Pyrenees. It's a full time job just keeping up on dog hair and all hands on deck to do it. But they are all sweet pups and love playing together.
I went shopping yesterday for the first time in over ten weeks. My husband has been doing all the shopping. Taking advantage of early hours and senior lanes while I am at work. It's is very isolating for everyone to be in a mask. I felt like I was in a futuristic movie! I went to Target to restock supplies like face cream and get a few smaller tee shirts and the shoe store to do a return and pick up a gift. While there I was struck with a craving for roasted chicken. So I stopped at the market and got the needed items and subbed that for dinner last night. Oh so good!
QOTD: I hit the floor running At 5 and don't usually stop until 3 or so. Then I slow down for a few hours and power back up in the evening to make dinner and do any little projects I want to get done, like cleaning out a cabinet or something. When I was young, it was common for me to go full on from 5 am to 11 or 12 at night. I can really see my age impacting that. Now I'm more like a 5 am to 9 pm kind of girl most days.
Menu:
B: 1/2 PP shake and coffee
L: leftover chicken!
D: tri tip and coleslaw. Some Mac and cheese for the hubs.
S: 1/2 PP shake, beef jerky/ string cheese if needed.
Peace, everyone!

You definitely have a lot more energy than I do! 7 pm is my limit for functioning well.

My husband slept though anything. Once I was working the midnight shift and our sixteen year old son had a job at Burger King. He was supposed to come home at 11:00 PM, right after work.
But my husband went to bed early and I was at work and we suspected that Kevin was actually staying out much later. So Joe decided to find out what time Kevin actually got home. He piled a bunch of pots and pans by the door so they would fall over when the door was opened and wake him up.
Then he went to sleep on a couch in the front room. The next morning there were pots and pans all over the room, but Joe had not woken up. I had to explain to Kevin that it was a plan to see what time he really came home. Kevin said he was wondering what all the noise had been about.
Of course this was before cellphones and security cameras.
