What's on your (PHOTO FRIDAY) Menu?
Breakfast - Hot black coffee, topo chico, cold brew (fasting)
Lunch - Dunno, didn't bring anything, so I may drive through something quick, fast and non meat/dairy!
Dinner - I got nothing. LOL I haven't planned well for meals today, but somehow I know I will find food.
I think I was overly excited that today, I am 2lbs away from my ultimate goal weight of 135. I feel pretty damn good about it, but now I'm considering moving my goal. I love how good I feel eating better, and incorporating the fasting in. It just feels right for me, and I wish I would have found it years ago!
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Mornin' All!
I'm meeting a former co-worker at Einstein's in an hour (after putting out an APB on Facebook the other day saying I'd love to get together with people for coffee - and she responded) - then I have my film discussion group (over Zoom) at 12:30. We're planning to do something with MIL this afternoon, although I'm not sure what. DH is in charge of the details for that. So - stuff going on today. Thankfully. It's so beautiful out that I'll have to get out for a long walk or bike ride sometime today, too.
accountability was good yesterday (calories were fine - plus I did weights and took a 90-minute bike ride, too), but my weight is up this morning. ARRRGHH. I've been eating a lot of fiber the last few days to ward off hunger, so that might be it. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for next Wednesday, so after all the prep, I'll (hopefully!) be down a few pounds (although I know that's temporary!)
QOTD: when we lived in Ohio ****il I was 16), I pretty much just hung out with my friends all summer. Rode bikes, went to the pool, etc (we lived in four different towns/cities in Ohio, but summers were pretty much the same regardless). My mother did send me to day camp one summer when I was five or six, but I hated it. Then I went to Campfire Girls camp when I was maybe nine or ten. It was a week of day camp with one overnight. The day camp part was fine, but I didn't want to do overnight. Not sure what my issue was - I guess I just liked being at home! We moved to North Carolina when I was in high school. All I can really remember is going to the beach a lot in the summer, since it was only three hours away (we'd go for the weekend, of course - not just a day trip!)
TSS: 5 y
B: just a Fit Frappe since I"m meeting my friend at Einsteins at 10:00 (see MS), coffee with half & half
MS: whole wheat bagel with cream cheese
L: maybe the rest of my chocolate "mousse" (made from cottage cheese and protein powder) with 2 T light Cool Whip and raspberries
AS: yogurt with 1/2 mango
D: I was going to make the chorizo/chickpea stew that I originally intended to make yesterday (but didn't), but we have so much food around here that we need to eat that now I'm not sure. But then, the chorizo is thawed, so I'll have to eat within the next couple of days *anyway*. Hmmm. Well, probably either that - or sushi - or 2 Costco chicken skewers
I'll come back in a second with a photo...
OK - here's my photo. We road down this bike trail yesterday, although this is my friend's photo rather than mine. He must have used a telescopic lens, since in my photo of it, the buildings look smaller. Plus this bird photo-bombed his - which kind of adds to the picture. Anyway, this is a picture of downtown Madison (my city) from one of the southern approaches
P.S. i was thinking about what I did in the summers when we lived in NC. I think I worked a lot! I got a job at a grocery store shortly after we moved there, and I worked there for about a year (weekends when school was in session - plus I think a lot in the summer). After that, I started a job at one of the department stores at the mall - I do remember for sure that I worked a lot of hours there during summers.
I think the bird kind of makes the picture!
I have been Bumbling around with Bumble. I never heard of it until you mentioned it the other day. Interesting...

my friend who told me about it (a 40-year-old divorcee) said she thought it was one of the better dating apps. Plus she liked the fact that the woman had to make the contact (i.e., for heterosexual match-ups). It was kind of fun to see who was out there, even though I'm not in the market.
I just wish more women my age would sign up for the BFF (friend) module. Not many were on there...
Good morning JB and Menuers,
Running a little late today I stopped at Aldi on the way to work. I am planning a pool party Sunday for my cousin and his family but the weather may not cooperate. It is only going to be about 74° the only thing good I got going is the pool is heated so we will see. I still got food to make a meal for us. I am going with grilled chicken thighs and an Asian Slaw. I am also going to bake some whole wheat chocolate chip cookies. Not that they are any healthier it is just I have whole wheat flour I want to use up. Aldi also had 5 more bags of the dill pickle popcorn left and I was told it was a special buy so I better take them all because it may not come back for another year. Hope my guest like them because I don't want to eat 5 bags of popcorn by myself. And we all no it could happen.
QOTD: We spent it at our local pool. We could play with the neighbor kids till 12:30 but then we went to the local pool till dinner time. I think back then in the 70's it was $10 for a family pass for the full season. Wow have times changed now I think it is $10 just to get in. All of us kids ended up lifeguarding there as soon as we were old enough to get our Red Cross certification. My father insisted on a Beach vacation every year. Mostly the outer banks and Myrtle Beach. It would take us at least 12 hour if not more to drive and we would go in a Truck with a cap on the bed and us kids would ride in the back. Now a days that would be child abuse. Probably was better than sitting in front with parents that smoked though.
Accountably: I made Caramel covered cheese balls for Sunday and I ate a few an I also had the SF Russel Stover's.
