They do ...you know the giant Costco size Lysol wipes? Theirs is twice as big as that!! I usually use 2 at the beginning of class and 4 at the end, so I'm expecting to see a small rate increase for Lysol wipes (and is be ok with that, lol)

The machines are first come/first serve so I am sure I could get a stairmaster first thing when they open but would probably have an issue getting an elliptical an hour later.

Mine opens Monday and I am going. I miss it way to much. Even though I am loving the running it will be a nice option when the weather does not cooperate.

Yeah, I am just such a "by the schedule" type of person I would be mad if I got there to do one thing and no machine available. It would require a level of patience I just don't have. LOL Oh I forget you're not on FB so you would not have seen the Wonder Woman Virtual 10k I signed up for (you can pick either a 5k or 10k and do it wherever/whenever you want...the swag is fun!)

What does the gym look like?

My neighborhood gym opens up on Friday (like Kelly's), but I don't feel comfortable going. It's a tiny gym to begin with, with all the machines really close to each other. In their email they said they have spaced everything and some of the machines are outside, as in workout outside. But I can't imagine how the weight room will work out.

on the stationary bike/treadmill/elliptical side of the room, they have every other machine blocked off with a bunch of caution tape so you can't use it. So I suppose the available machines are at least six feet apart - and since they can only have 10 people in the room in total (both sides), there are usually only a couple of people on that side of the room. So I suppose it's OK.

I didn't think they'd have the weight machines available since they can't really space them apart any more than they already are, and all the machines are unique (so they can't block every other one off like they do with say, the treadmills), but maybe they're six feet apart- well, some of them for sure look like they're that far apart. After someone gets off any machine in the room (weight or cardio), a staff member runs over there to disinfect it. I don't ever get on a weight machine that's next to another one that's currently in use, though. Even if it's six feet away, some of those men load them up with really heavy weight and do a lot of gasping and heavy breathing. I really hate the people who sit on the machines and do things on their phones for awhile once they're done lifting (some jerk was doing that this morning - hello?? Other people might want to use the damn machine??!), or like this other guy who sort of blocked off two or three machines at a time, running back and forth between them doing one set on this one, then one set on that one, then back to the original one. I had to wait for awhile a couple of times since I refuse to use a machine that's next to another one that's being used, so his "routine" REALLY limited my options. It really ticked me off. At least I didn't have anywhere to go afterward. But still... I don't know how they work the barbells and hand weights. Maybe they don't even have them out (not sure - I didn't look). It would be pretty hard to keep up with those since people often use four or five different ones of different weights...

overall, even though they're trying to be as careful as possible over there, I worry about it a little every time I go.

the yoga studio I used to go to opened again this week. Class size is limited, everyone has to register at least two hours ahead of time, and everyone has to bring their own props. Luckily, I do have all my own yoga props since I used to do it at home, too, but lugging them around seems like a pain, even though I'd do that rather than use community ones (even if they had them available). But I think I'll hold off on that.

Many years ago when we were testing 4/10 schedules, I took Wednesdays off and loved it...then you only had to get through 2 days, day off, 2 more days, 2 days off.

QOTD - can we still be friends if I say I can take or leave brownies? They usually look and smell better than they taste.

Exciting news here -- my niece is going to come stay with me for 2 weeks; she's 14 going on 30 and bored at home. We're just trying to decide if she's coming at the beginning of July and then I take her home when I go there for her brother's 30th bday or if I get her when I go there and then send her home 2 weeks later. I'm excited and terrified; she's a great amazing, smart and funny young lady and also she's a teenager and teenage girls can be tough but more so to their mothers than to the aunts. Being able to have her stay is finally a plus side to the not traveling!

Today after work I have to get over to the library to get my on hold books (their curbside pick up is great) and then have pilates; I've been up since 2 so I've gotten most of my general house stuff done today so once I get back from pilates, I can try to get through my bookclub book. It's really good but dense and I'm just having issues with picking it up and focusing. I've about 300 pages left before Saturday at 4 so need to focus. It's the Woman's Hour by Elaine Weiss about the final battle to ratify the 19th Amendment.

the food plan for today is

coffee + half and half X 4

B - good culture blueberry cottage cheese

L - left over pork green chile

D - left over cheese crust pizza slice

S - L&F greek, frozen

Have a great Jr Friday everyone!
