G'morning everybody!

The food sharing meme brings back so many memories. Before WLS I didn't like to share food. So DH, to counteract me, started sharing his icecream with DD since she was little. It became a ritual that they would share the haagen dazs bars. But guess what? It back fired! DD HATES sharing her food, and to this day tells everybody that sharing her icecream with her dad scarred her.

QOTD: I have at least one weekly cooking failure. I don't like to cook and it shows. Risotto is my biggest failure. It needs patience, which I don't have. It always comes out lumpy. When I was in college and did an au-pair stint for a summer, the lady of the house told me cooking needs heart. Obviously I have no heart when it comes to cooking. Baking is a completely different story. I make up for my lack of heart in cooking with having a huge heart in baking.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: protein coffee
  • L: Protein shake
  • S: 2 hb eggs
  • D: TJ shrimp stir fry
  • E: 6 miles wog

Have a great Tue, everybody.

Good morning! Love the meme. I'm well known for telling the hubs that if he would quit eating whatever is on his plate NOW, I could have it for left overs. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes I got a dirty look. Now we are adjusting to sharing a plate or a plate and a small side. WLS adjustments, part of life. I had a real hungry day yesterday, and woke up starving today. This is a first for me since surgery. So I've added some beef jerky to my morning meal. And might add a string cheese to my lunch. I just don't think my lunch yesterday (turkey chili) had enough dense protein in it, and that sort of set me up for being behind all day. Today is a new day -- I'll try again.

QOTD: I love to cook. But I've had a few real fails. I can make a killer beef stew, but one time I added WAY too much red wine (which I don't drink, white only) but I like the complexity it adds. Ruined the stew. My friend suggested more potatoes to soak up some, but no. It was ruined. BLECH! I make a killer white coq au vin -- but mine is never on the white side so it's not pretty. More like mud. But oh so yummy.

Menu:

B:coffee, 1/2 PP shake, 1/2 oz sugar fee beef jerky

L: turkey chili, 1/2 oz cheddar cheese, 1 oz avo, 1 tbsp sour cream, light sting cheese?

D: Turkey onion meatloaf, tomato and more avo!

S: 1/2 PP shake

Peace, everybody!

Morning everyone! So this weekend it was so hot and beautiful out we finally had our first beach day! I slathered me and the kids up with tons of sunscreen. I guess because of all my health issues and autoimmune disorders the sun was not my friend. I ended up with sun poisoning pretty bad. That's why I have been MIA these past few days. I'm feeling a little better everyday but it really was a beautiful beach day!

QOTD: Have you ever had a complete cooking fail? I have had many lol. Growing up neither of my parents could cook. We pretty much ate out everyday. So as an adult I had to teach myself to cook. So with trial and error I had many cooking fails. Even following recipes!

Even with my sun poisoning issues going on I have followed my menu perfectly. At the beach I even packed protein shakes and healthy snacks in the cooler.

B: coffee w/ premier protein

L:protein shake

D:WW Classic Skinny Meatloaf

S:WW blueberry lemon muffin/greek yogurt

The only way you will see results is if you stay consistent!

I switched to rash guards and swim capris a few years ago (plus sun screen on hands, feet, neck face) and haven?t had a bad sun burn/sun poisoning issue since. Mine was always being a pale red head vs medications issue but maybe that could help you too? Sun poisoning and sun burns all suck!

oh and hats, I am all about the giganto hat too
