Whats On Your Sunday Menu RNYers (and a few VSGers:)
I worked for a year after my husband died. I felt like I wanted to no longer be tied to the job, so took the early retirement option. I spent my summers at the pool, joined a line dance group where we took lessons three times a week and traveled to different clubs three or four times a week.
I traveled, joined groups to improve my city, met with politicians, made signs and marched in demonstrations. I sold my home, bought another one and spent time making improvements.
I decided to try a part-time job. I was driving home from the mall, and saw a hiring sign and just walked in and applied. It was doing tech support for iPhones and they hired me on the spot. It was all done over the phone and it was fun for me. I did that for three years and then the company changed owners and the new company only wanted full time employees, so I quit.
It was two years before I found another part-time position that I thought I would enjoy. It was working from home and helping people using TurboTax. I have always been interested in doing taxes and in tax software so it was a natural fit for me. The company, Intuit, urged me to become an Enrolled Agent and I finally took the exams and moved into the tax advisor role.
I work full time January through April 15 and can then take the rest of the year off. This year is a strange one because taxes are due on July 15, so I am working a few hours a wee****il July 15. The questions that I get are complex and I enjoy doing the research and learning new things. I believe I am healthier when always working on new challenges.
But ten years ago, I would have also said Nope.

Good morning! A Santa Ana is heading our way starting today. It's super early in the year for it and very unusual, but hot, dry, windy weather is on tap for the next few days. I'm going to walk the community this morning before it's too warm and check out all the new art.
QOTD: That my daughter and family moved back near us almost one year ago. She and I are very close and now the granddaughters are so near we can grab them up for an ice cream run, dinner, sleep over anytime we want. My WLS has only amplified that joy. Just last weekend I spent a half hour playing frisbee with them. We all are terrible at it, so there was lots of running down the Dang frisbee (and we live on a hill). Before, I would have lasted about three minutes.

Good morning all! Today will be laundry day for me and I will do a quick vacuum. Other than that I don't really have anything planned. It was hot here yesterday and the day before. I believe it got up to 90. Well I went and got all the supplies to make my first wreath yesterday. I was disappointed they didn't have the mesh ribbon in the color I wanted so I had to improvise and I was actually short on ribbon so I had to fill in with flowers etc. Took me about 5 hours making it yesterday and I'm not completely happy with it.....but I'll keep trying as I need a new hobby. I may go and get some more supplies next weekend to make another one. Came out pretty cheap with getting everything from my local dollar tree and Walmart. I'll post a picture below. It's supposed to be a 4th of July wreath, but kind of turned out looking like an awkward firework. Lol. Guess it still fits with the theme though. Will probably just give to my mother as she loves wreaths.
My accountability was pretty much close to perfect yesterday. Got so busy that I realized it was past my normal dinner time and I hadn't eaten yet. Wasn't really hungry much at all yesterday which was good!
B: premiere shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda X 2
L: need to finish the other half of my Greek salad
D: leftover crustless garden pizza bowl
S: L&F yogurt
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19
I think that wreath is great! Really different!
