Whats on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

Lol, I apolaogizwd repeatedly to all the grass I ran over in my neighbors yards for the first couple of blocks. After that, I was decent at keeping it where I wanted to go!
I am so lucky, there's an entry to to one of our trail networks about two blocks from me, it's a 5 mile trail but you can take it to connecting points for hundreds of miles of trails. We don't do public transit well but we're better at biking/hiking/walking. All the new build subdivision have green space or trail requirements and work with the county to build connectors to the nearest loop, it seems.

Love the outdoor setup! Do you plan to take the cushions off when it rains? You guys have really added so much charm to your wonderful home lately!
I get my hair cut today (with mask on) and have a socially distanced small neighbor ****tail party to attend this afternoon. I hope I cheer up as I have felt in a funk the last couple of days. When the sun is out and I can sit on my deck, I feel better (pic below).
QOTD: I have always lived in the suburbs - in a neighborhood but with a lot of open space nearby. I always thought I would like to live in the city for a while but I'm not sure now. I so enjoy quiet and being outdoors with the trees and the birds. So I guess I am more country.
TSS: 4 years, 2 months

L: tuna, pickles and cottage cheese (or turkey and laughing cow cheese)

Sorry for the lousy weather we are having the past few days--all it took was me spending a boatload of money on outdoor furniture to bing the rain back, haha.
I didn't take the cushions in last night but I will have to check and see if that was an okay decision today after last night's soaking rain. The light rain we'd had has been fine and rolled right off, but we'll see...
I always wonder. I have pads on my chaise lounges that are lightweight so easy to take off so I do it just so I can sit as soon as the sun is out. But they dry out fairly fast if I leave them out.

I was annoyed that the cushions aren't attached and keep flipping over with a breeze, so I put double sided velcro down to try to keep them somewhat in place, but now I am realizing why they are not attached! ...I will need to either remove them or at least turn them into the sun to keep them dry. Oh well--the Velcro didn't work anyway!
Good morning y'all! Love the furniture JB! Tell Grim I'm super stoked about his sourdough starter, and he's inspiring me. I had one for almost 2 years (way back when) and then, one of my girls decided to open it, and leave it open and a fly got in. I was devastated.
Breakfast - Hot black coffee, and lots of it please. And some topo chico (still fasting)
Lunch - lettuce, vegan cheese, vegan mayo, toast sandwich. Maybe some veggie soup on the side. It's hot here, and that makes me want lighter food.
Snack - fruit smoothie (frozen frui****er, oat milk, chia seeds, hemp seed protein)
Dinner - umm, I will find something I'm sure. No plans yet.
QOTD- I'm a country mouse, absolutely. I was raised in the country, former county kid here. The home we live in, we bought because it is on almost one acre, even if it is in the city. I can't have neighbors right next to me, and I needed to have some semblance of "country". This works, and was a compromise. My husband didn't want to move out to the country as far as I did, due to the commute. So, we live in an old farmhouse, on an acre, smackdab in the middle of San Antonio. I get critters like possums, squirrels, skunks, raccoons, bats, bees, etc., and he can get to work in about 10 mins! Not to mention, our doggies have the run of the property when we are home.
I do miss living out in the actual country, my mom still does. There's just something different about it. It's not easy, and you deal with more things out in the country (septic, bigger critters, etc.) but, I just love it.

Let it begin with me.

The sourdough turned out better than I could have hoped. Incredible. He experimented with a few types of flour and if you are going to try it again, we definitely recommend using King Arthur Bread Flour. Far and away superior to the other flours he used.
Good morning menu friends! Miss Lily and I will head out in a few minutes for a nice walk for the second time. On our first attempt it started pouring and we had to run back to the camper. This time we'll take the umbrella along too! Last night we had a nice walk along the river. It was beautiful but I came back with ticks and poison ivy. I always seem to find the stuff and am very allergic so I'm hoping I don't get too uncomfortable. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise and weight is 120.4 today. QOTD country mouse for sure. Though I love to visit the city there are just too many people! Here's the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz chicken salad D 4 oz ground beef with a dab of blue cheese on top. Have a great day full of healthy choices everyone . Pic is of hubby and Miss Lily chilling outside the camper.
