Mine too. I figured I'd get a fresh start the next day, and that would justify polishing off the huge bag of cookies/gallon of ice cream/family sized lasagna, etc. I truly thank God that those days are behind me, but I know I will forever have to remain vigilant just the same!
Haha! Too many "last suppers" in our pasts!

Whenever I read about somebody who has "conquered" obesity, I am reminded of your comment about it being like basilisk, waiting and plotting for a weak moment to return.

People like that amaze me. If I just "listened to my body" I would be 8 BILLION pounds because my body is constantly whispering--"I'm staaaaaarving"
You and me both. Before doing WLS I did the intuitive eating thing for about 6 months under the supervision of a nutritionist and therapist. You would have thought with both of them guiding me I would have "listened to my body"? Fat chance! I gained weight while they were swearing once I listen to that little inner self I would lose weight. At one point I told them I have KILLED that inner self, she no longer alive.

LOL to this discussion! I hate when I am told "only eat when you are hungry". Yeah right, I am ALWAYS hungry. Just let me smell or think about something good. SIL has to make herself eat - what's that about???

My mom who is now 81 has only ate 1 meal a day her whole life. She eats at 10:00 PM and she never went over 125lbs till she hit 80. She'd drank coffee all day but never ate. After 80 she said screw it I watched my weight all my life she gained over 25lbs in a year. I don't blame her as long as she is happy.

Good Morning! No, we must eat ALL.THE.CHEESE! This week has felt long to me too. We are expecting temps over 100 again for a few days. I think I've been forgetting to mention it that I am going in for my iron infusion on Saturday so I'm hoping that will help with some energy issues I have been experiencing in the afternoons.
Accountability: On plan
QOTD: I'm pretty much an open book, although I didn't mention it much outside of my "circle" until a few weeks before surgery. I didn't want everyone's opinions on whether or not I should have the surgery based on stories from someone's aunts uncles second cousin third removed complications... I think you know what I mean.
