Whats on your Tuesday Menu?
I can somehow relate. My brother had brain cancer (multi glioblastoma) and in a span of 7 months he went from a vivacious and smart 46 year old to first not being able to walk, then incontinence and in diapers, then not being able to speak, and the last couple of weeks not recognizing us at all. It broke our hearts seeing him go that way. His decline was fast, so I can imagine with your husband it must have been even more painful to watch his slow decline.

I've known a handful of people who've had glioblastoma - and it's supposed to be a rare form of cancer. What a devastating diagnosis. My best friend from high school died from it just about a year ago, and had the exact same progression that your brother did. It was awful. And her sister died of it three or four years ago! I am so sorry about your brother!!
I'm so sorry you had to go through that with your husband! It is such a hard thing to watch. I watched my grandmother go through it and now my step-mother.
Yes it touches so many families and is so sad.

Good morning, Happy Taco Tuesday!
QOTD - The ability to speak. Reading has always been my escape.
Breakfast - hot black coffee, LOTS of it (fasting) and topo chico
Lunch - I brought homemade veggie soup, and some homemade lentils. All vegan, all good for me, and I'm sure I will be wishing I brought more food!
Snack - I have a pear and some homemade granola/chia seeds
Dinner - No idea, but I would really like a salad with everything in it!
Have a great day everyone!

Let it begin with me.

Good morning menu friends.
I'm feeling really rough this morning. Pain is a bit much for me. I see the pain specialist on the 18th and I'm going to need something different. I just would like some relief!
not sure what the plans are for the day. We might have the kids but I'll find out for sure when my mom wakes up.
qotd: I don't know if I can choose. My grandpa in the last weeks before he died forgot how to read. He had issues with talking clearly but it was tough to watch. He had Alzheimer's and a type of leukemia. It was one of the hardest things I've witnessed in my life.

Update on my freaking fantastic day.
I know it's little to some but I am at my wits end. I finally heard back from the message I sent to my insurance. They said someone canceled the appeal. My doctors office has no record of why this was done. Or if they even did do that. The lady that handles this stuff was fixing to leave for a doctors appointment of her own. She is supposed to call me back tomorrow morning after she does some deeper digging.
Whatever...I don't believe a damn thing any of these people tell me...either place. It's clear I matter about as much as a fart in the wind.

Good morning all! I'm working on remembering what to be grateful for this month. Too caught up in the negative. I'll stay alert and informed, but I'm putting my best vibe out there. Today, I saw a beautiful sunrise on the way to work. So two positives. The sunrise and the ability to still be working in a job I love.
QOTD: I am a big talker (JB, we match again), but no question I'd have to give up the verbal to keep the reading. I'm sure if I waive my wine glass at my husband hard enough, he'd get the message!
Menu -- Much the same as yesterday and it was yummy.
B: coffee, 1/2 PP shake
L: taco meat, refried beans, guacamole with a sprinkling of cheddar cheese.
D: tbd, but thinking TJ's broccoli beef over cauliflower rice
S: second half of the PP shake.
Peace everyone!
