QOTD- "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." Mark Twain

Funny thing I was finally unpacking and getting rid of a ton of things in my office and I found that quote. It's one of my favorites and I used to have it pinned up in my cubicle at work. Maybe I was supposed to find it so that I can remember to take risks.

I'm not sure when our county is going to reopen. They have applied for June 1, but so far no word. There are only 2 counties not in Phase 1, and the other county just had a huge uptick in cases, so who knows.

I got my nails done yesterday on the down low, parked about a block away and the shop is kept locked and looks vacant. My nail person has finally received some unemployment so it's not quite so bad for her. They also paid her the back weeks so she's OK for now.

I've been taking an antihistamine for my allergy symptoms, after seeing JB's posts I realized that is what they are. It has made a ton of difference. Right now the cottonwoods are awful, it looks like it's snowing out there. I didn't get the rest of the gutter screens off yesterday, it was too hot and I didn't feel like doing it. It's supposed to be 87 today, so maybe I'll take a little time this morning and try to get it done. It is supposed to be nice today and tomorrow and rain over the weekend.

Have a great day everyone!

Gutter Screens? I thought the point of the screen was that you didn't have to maintain your gutters. Why do you have to remove them? I am confused.

I thought that too, but learned if you live in an area with lots of tree leaves you have to take the leaves off of the gutter guards and then remove the gutter guards and clean them twice a year. The last time I had that done, I told them to just remove the gutter guards because they were doing more harm than good.

Once the leaves stayed on top of the gutter guards it was like putting a cover over a pot. The gutters could not hold the water and the water was going over the leaves instead of into the gutters.

There are many kinds of gutter guards, so I might do something different at some point.

Good afternoon All!

Late chime in from me. Work is ridiculously busy, and I absolutely love it. So blessed by my situation. It's a breezy warm day today, but there will be no walks. No time. Got in some stretches and light calisthenics. Stretch a few muscles at least.

QOTD: my personal email signature line is:

For the good of the many, for the happiness of the many, out of compassion for the world."
? Gautama Buddha

It's pretty much how I live my life, and speaks to me of what I'd like to see out of mankind. Our family runs a non-profit in memory of my youngest son that supports vocational (CTE for those in know) programs and students at the high school level. We have raised and donated nearly 250K in 13 years. Our tagline for the foundation is "A living earned with one's hands is an honest and admiral one". I'm very fond of that one too.

Food plan

B: 1/2 PP shake and coffee

L: 2.5 oz pork 1/2 C cauliflower rice "fried rice".

D: TBD, sent the husband grocery shopping today.

S: 1/2 PP shake

Still dropping a bit of weight, but there is a longer period of time in between, so i "think" that means I am getting close to the final number.

Peace, everyone!

Also, had to go grocery shopping because I was finally out of food. Really warm here today but super cloudy and drizzles here and there. I did get a walk in though. Yay!
