What's on your Wednesday Menu?
o****ep getting distracted! need to hurry and post this and get back to work. things are good- really wanted to leave and do something after work yesterday but couldn't justify it - DH had just gone to wally for me so I didn't want to just leave to get a free Panera coffee. but i've done this in the past. our gym also opened up and started charging me. so I probably need to figure all that out.
food plan pretty much went according to my mind and rough plan. I made an interesting concoction last night of these fish noodles, bean sprouts, and veggie konjac noodles. it was actually yummy.
I was hoping for a weight drop but I'm on the newer scale that I think is overstating. the other one says I weight 15 pounds less so while I would love to believe that %$%$, we know it isn't true. I've been 'intuitively' eating the last 3 weeks so I wasn't sure how that would go over and had not weighed in over a week and a half- going to check tomm and rest of week also. have not been obsessively logging and weighing food. it seems to be good for me and I'm not making myself bonkers on it.
QOTD: yes on my moms side. she is 99% german and there are books about the family- Funderburke: castles and conquests. when I don't want to do something at home I just mention that I'm descended from royalty so I don't have to! but really- ties to Anne of cleaves (4th wife of henry VIII, one he actually divorced instead of beheaded) its pretty interesting stuff...
food plan:
B: thinking eggs here- bought duck and gineau fowl eggs at market Saturday- holy crap are the yummy and creamy!
L: concoction I mentioned above
S: shake?
d: maybe last of concoction
s: unsure
Really cool Ancestry stuff there. Do you have any recipes that have been passed down? I love German food. I have a great recipe for Veneer Schnitzel but I am always looking for a great recipe for Sauerbraten. I had a friend that went to Germany and brought me back McCormick packets to make it but they do not sell them here in the US plus I like to do things from scratch.
HW 299 SW 290 CW 139 GW 140 2/08/2019 OPERATION: Surgical Hernia with excision of total surface area of 55 x 29 cm of abdominal skin.
Welcome to hump day already! Isn't it funny (but not) how much junk food we could all come up with yesterday?
I am excited about my 14 day travel quarantine being over tomorrow so I can go to the food store. How weird is that to look forward to? SIL and I asked if our other SIL who has been pretty constantly quarantined to protect her husband wanted to come visit this weekend. We figured that this would be a good time as we are pretty much guaranteed "clean" (I would have sent DS to the store), but she isn't ready yet.
Yesterday's trip to the beach is wonderful and I may try to repeat it today if the weather is good. I won't go on weekends and I know the weather is going to deteriorate tomorrow or Friday. First I have some wall repair to do where I removed a hook and some magic eraser wall touch up in various places.
QOTD: No, I am a mutt too. I am Irish, English, Scotch and Welsh. Many of my friends are into searching for ancestors and doing family trees, but that doesn't interest me at all.
TSS: 4 years, 2 months
B: Coffee! Eggs with beans, cheese and salsa
L: Sliced turkey and laughing cow cheese
D: Salmon burgers with yogurt/dill sauce and broccoli. I love these burgers which are made from scratch - I grind the salmon in a small food processor. They taste great - recipe below if anyone is interested (I use 1/2 light mayo and 1/2 FF Greek yogurt in the sauce)
S: Bean salad or yogurt with blueberry compote, blueberry lemon yogurt pie and/or WW one point blueberry muffin

Oh yes, I use canned salmon for salmon patties and they are delicious! I mostly grate white onion or vidalia onion into a bowl with a beaten egg or two, some dijon mustard, some herbs, salt pepper, and some bread crumbs (though not much) and form patties. Then I let them chill in the fridge. Then I lightly roll them into bread crumbs and pan sauté. They are SO delicious.

I jumped into the car like a puppy dog to go with Grim to bring the cardboard to the recycling center last week!
