G'morning everybody!

Sorry about the allergies. Everybody around me is suffering too.

We had a in-home graduation photoshoot yesterday for DS with his cap and gown. If you don't know him you need to know when he shows a minimum of interest in anything you gotta catch the ball right then and there before everything fizzles out. So while he was trying on his cap and gown, and there was a hint of smile, we took him outside on the cliff and took some really nice shots of him. The school has asked for a pic of sr and a pic of their decorated cap. So far we have accomplished one. Let's hope the cap decoration gets done, keeping fingers crossed.

QOTD: the place is spacious and in a resort type of location with views of the ocean, and the woods are nearby. Upon check-in you are informed the cook (let's not call her a chef because there is no love put in what she cooks) provides only one meal a day. The day before you need to inform her if you are planning on lunch or dinner, because she is not providing two meals a day. You are to fend for yourself for other meals, although the pantry and fridge are fully stocked. I noticed a trend in the younger guest, that somehow the left overs in the fridge are treated as radioactive, he always demands fresh cooked meals (the audacity!). On the other hand if you have any desire for baked goods or sweets, the management is willing to face the virus itself to get the ingredients and satisfy your sweet tooth. Coffee and tea is served all day long, any flavor you can think of. The place is clean and very organized (almost OCD organized) and if you move something the housekeeping is there to put it back where it belongs. In short if you are here for an all inclusive resort, you will be sorely disappointed - no booze and little food. But if you are here for the views, the running tracks near by, and want to hunker in a clean place away from C-19 this is the place. Three and a half stars.

Accountability: Meh

My meals yesterday:

  • B: protein coffee
  • L: rest of chicken fajita from the night before
  • S: SF pudding mix + PP= WW friendly pudding
  • D: chipotle burrito bowl (fajita veggies, 1/2 chicken 1/2 Sofritas, fresh salsa and guacamole)
  • E: 4.1 miles uphill wog

Happy jr Friday!

Any time. Maybe we should start a trend of swapping houses for vacation between OH members. I can't even imagine a 7 recliner TV room. Americans do everything BIG!

QOTD: For an establishment that is family-friendly you would think there would be more toys on the floor... It's nice that the Management has a lot of patience when some of the other guests have gotten a bit unruly. There were witnesses of bribes so that the other guests could get some quiet time. Beds are comfortable and the walls are currently displayed with abstract artwork. Meals are hot and cooked to order. Although, you may have to close your eyes when you eat because there may be a toy in the goulash soup that one of the little chefs prepares for you. Each room is geared to a different age group. Example: You can be anything you want to be when you stay in the Dress-up Room.

That was the best I could do. lol

Breakfast: Bowl of Fruit and Greek Yogurt
Lunch: Turkey and Ham Rollups with Tillamook Cheese
Dinner: Rotisserie Chicken from Costco and leftover veggies from the smoker from earlier this week
Snack: Jerky, String Cheese and possibly some animal crackers 1/2 serving) if I get a sweet tooth.

I am booking the dress up room, please. And bringing my now 21 year old daughter with me. We had so much fun playing dress up when she was little.

My girls will dress my husband up... IN EVERYTHING. AT THE SAME TIME... He's a good sport, especially when the wigs and fairy wings come out.

The things that grow from their imagination and the stories they tell are wonderfully fantastic! We'll cherish these moments for sure!

OMG you truly outdo yourself with your QOTD, Julia! I loved reading all of the responses!!! I won't even be able to compare with how creative and funny you all are. Also, I am sensing a theme here...animals that rule our house...

QOTD: Large, spacious, modern five bedroom home with a finished basement, movie room, and back deck. However, the residents seem to be proprietary of their own space. The woman seems to run the kitchen and office, the man keeps to the living room and Xbox, and the kids have their own rooms and iPads that keep them busy. The younger kid spends an inordinate amount of time dancing to idiotic songs to post on Tiki's Tok. Meals are served far too late for normal people (10:00, 3:00 and 9:00) but the short order cook begrudgingly makes different meals for everyone depending on their likes and interests. Her own meals are rather bougie and heavily feature expensive proteins. The garage is packed with bikes so you can enjoy the neighborhood walking trails. The most demanding resident will jump on your bed and meow at 7 am to let you know it's breakfast, and stand by the pantry door (where the Temptations are stored) at 5 pm to let you know it's "cappy hour". She's relentless. But overall, since the beds are extraordinarily comfy and the house is clean and uncluttered, 4 out of 5.

B: Rotisserie chicken and avocado!

L: the same

D: Ground turkey and pasta - heavy on the turkey!

E: Walk with my gym friend at the park!
