Good morning menu friends.
I?m up early...well to early for my liking. Just not feeling well.
I have a phone call today with my psychiatrist. Hoping to change things up a bit as I feel something needs to change. Not sure if she?ll want to. I know it?s a difficult time for everyone. My back issue has no resolution in sight and that alone is bringing all sorts of depression to me. Also...I?ve been having panic attacks and anxiety attacks. Yesterday I had 1000 calories and I had a pretty big panic attack last night about it. I just feel I need a little more help.
other than the phone call not much is planned. We might go to Walmart as I?m in need of a new pillow. I?ve been fighting with my current one and it?s really bothering me too. Also...I?m going to make some vegetable soup for a filler when I feel the need for more. I?m going to freeze it in little bowls to have easy access. I might put some lean hamburger meat in it for protein. We?ll see.
qotd:hmmmm. I don?t really have one other than the news lol

Good morning all! It is nice to finally be on vacation after the headache I went through the last couple days. I ended up having to drive all the way to my bank which was like 30 miles out of the way. My plan was to have all my stuff packed and leave straight from my doctors appointment (which was halfway between my place and my parents house) and head to meet my parents at their place since we were all riding together. I figured right after my appointment I would go to the bank where the atm was that took my card to see if I could get it back since it was right there next to my doctors office, but they were closed and open by appointment only and no one would answer the phone so I drove the 30 miles out of the way to my bank and then all the way back which put us getting a late start to our trip. My bank was also not letting anyone inside.....curbside only so after waiting in line outside for 20 minutes I finally got my new card and spent the whole ride up updating my payment info for all my bills I have set up for autopay. But it's done and I can finally relax!
Accountability was ok yesterday. Had my premier and coffee for breakfast, sipped on my fruit smoothie on the ride up for lunch and then had a protein bar for snack to hold me over until we went to dinner. We ended up going out for seafood so I had some broiled shrimp and flounder with a sweet potato and steamed veggies. I only ate like one shrimp and a few bites of the flounder as I had half a cup of she crab soup before the food came out so I was stuffed. So I have lots of leftovers. It came with dessert so I got a skinny slice of key lime pie. And oh my goodness that pie was worth every last calorie! I convinced my mom to go for a walk with me after as I felt guilty after eating.
The weather was nice here yesterday...sunny and not too hot. I even already got a sunburn after being in the sun for literally 2 seconds. Oh the joys of being a redhead. Today however is supposed to be nothing but rain and tomorrow too. Ugh!
JB that is so thoughtful what you're doing for your friend for her birthday. I'm sure she will enjoy that! I'm not very creative so I don't really have any other ideas for you, but I'm sure someone will come up with something!
QOTD: hmmm I have nothing.
B: Coffee w/Splenda, eggs and maybe a slice of bacon.
L: Not sure....maybe some egg salad my mom made
D: TBD
S: I brought a few premiers, L&F yogurts, nuts, protein bars and skinny pop popcorn for snacks in case I get hungry. Trying to eat somewhat healthy! Lol

Were you guys able to actually go out for dinner, or ordered out? What state?

Our restaurants, in my area, have been open for order out but not to dine in. Also all travels are on hold until further notice. We changed our tix to late July for HI but I have no hopes for it to happen.

We dined inside the restaurant. I'm in SC and the restaurants here started opening back up for dining in last Monday. They are still only allowing a few people in at a time though. It was nice because there was no wait and hardly any people there. The hair and nail salons also opened back up this week here.

I hope you enjoy your holiday and have time to rest and relax! It sounds so lovely to take a break. I am worried I won't take any vacation this year what with being on lockdown. I can't seem to rationalize taking a day off to sit at home while the emails pile in by the hundreds. I would love to get away! I will live vicariously through you :)
Good morning,
Still adopting to my new normal of life with pain. I am finding I do have a few calm points during the day, so when they emerge I try to relax for a few minutes. I had a scare Friday, as I decided to indulge in an old splurge (rootbeer float). It was so good. Then came the diarrhea, but generally otherwise I was feeling fine. All of a sudden I was disoriented and I ended up passing out. Luckily I hadn't made it to the stairs yet. My wife heard and got me back to the bedroom, passing out again along the way for a second time. She recognized I was crashing, so grabbed me one of my protein drinks. I had that and just laid down. I didn't think to grab my glucose monitor. So i suspect I was having something like RH or RH itself. I've been very, very careful since and now I'm down to 181 pounds. I was on a medrol pack last week and was reading the other night that stuff messes with glucose. So I suspect that exaggerated things, but I'm still treating it as a serious situation and being much more careful. I needed a sugar wake up and got one.
QOTD - I usually just turn stuff off, if I get crazy. However, the only real peeved I can recall was during the later part of the series Twin Peaks - what a waste of time after the first season.
PWO - 1/3 Glucerna bar with my pills
WO - 35 min Peloton
B - 2/3 cup oatmeal and berries/nut butter
L - Spiralized zuch with a few zoodles (made with mung beans) and some turkey
S - Mandarins
D - Omlette with ham and cheese
S - Apple and PB

Living with pain sucks, I'm sorry you're having to deal with that.
