What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Helloooo and welcome to a new week.
Over the past 10 days I have been going back to basics (should have never abandoned those basics!) and I am being very consistent in my planning and logging. It feels like such a job, every day, to plan and eat on plan and avoid all the delicious things the family eats. But I am sticking to it and I am down 4 lbs. Slow and steady wins the race, and all that...
I also went to Costco yesterday morning and stocked up on delicious proteins that make me happy. Cilantro shrimp salad, rotisserie chicken salad, and a rotisserie chicken. So that is pretty much the cornerstone of my next week of meals...
B: 3 oz shrimp, Peruvian pepper drops, 1 oz cheddar
L: A 90 calorie "Smart Pocket" with 2 tbs hummus, 2 tbs toum garlic paste, chopped pickles, 3 oz rotisserie chicken
D: Rotisserie chicken and unsure on side yet. Fam is having leftover mashed potatoes (boys) and boxed Mac and cheese (girls). I may season mine with za'atar and then make some tatziki with Greek yogurt, garlic, lemon, cucumbers, olive oil.
Have a great day, everyone!
Good job! Going back to basics and having stuff available that fits in plan and you enjoy is critical.

Oooh, in what section of Costco do you get those salads? They sound yum.
Also, GREAT job!

They are SO yum. It's the whole deli section by where you get the rotisserie chicken. That section (in my Costco) always has Mexican chicken street tacos (love!), cilantro lime shrimp, shrimp ****tail, rotisserie chicken salad, chicken wings, and then things I do NOT need to buy like Mac and cheese and fettuccine Alfredo and sandwich wraps and pot pies. The shrimp is phenomenal - I think it has garlic on it as well, and I just eat it cold with peppers and cheese or just by itself!
I will look for them next time I'm at Costco. They sound delish.

Good Morning JB and Menuers,
Glad to hear your making the best of your time in quarantine JB. Hopefully others will see what you have. Me not so much. Still going strong. My life has not changed much due to the fact I still been coming to work everyday. And I still am anxious for the weekends to get here.
I had a great weekend. I was able to get a couple three mile runs in and the weather was beautiful. Saturday we got the cover off the pool now just get it full, vacuumed, and heated up and we should be good for the holiday weekend. Had a bonfire Saturday and dinner with friends and family Sunday. I love having family dinner but we did it on the deck and there was definitely less than 10. I think were now aloud to have 25 in a group so we were well under the limit.
QOTD: Nothing comes to mind but I like how Gregory Maguire did this twist when writing Wicked and the other 3 books in the series to tell everyone's story from OZ.
Accountability: I ate to many cookies and cheesecake. Also I could not resist the burnt marshmallows at the bonfire. So as usual I have a few pounds to get off this week.
TSS: 2 years 5 Month 3 day 137.6 (lowest 130.8)
CB: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato w/Miralax and Fiber
MS: Oikos Salted Caramel triple zero Greek yogurt, Crust less quiche
CB2: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato
L: Zucchini boats stuffed with ground turkey meatball mix and vodka sauce.
D: French onion Meatloaf and stuffed mushrooms.
Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and my blood work has been good. My B12 has been High so I cut my sublingual to every 3rd or 4th day. And I have now added 500mg of Magnesium
Exercise: 3 mile run weather permitting.
Everybody have a Great week.
Brightest Blessings,

G'morning everybody!
It was a busy weekend for us. DD graduated, having had two majors there were two graduations on Sat and the commencement on Sun. Plus a zoom meeting for some of the students who were receiving scholarships or honorary mentions. It was all very nice and I sat by the monitor with my box of tissues. I had made sure for the zoom meeting both the video and sound were off so I wouldn't embarrass her. She was very happy and said at the end of the day it was a great celebration. She was also very surprised with all of our extra surprises arriving throughout the day. I think she felt celebrated even though we weren't there in person. Now I'm the mom of a GWU graduate. She is staying in DC for now bcz her internship has turned full time until the end of summer.
QOTD: I recently read a book called "Never let me go" by Kazuo Ishiguro. I guess I would have liked to read the POV of other characters. And I would totally read the HP books from Draco's POV.
Accountability: I'm taking the 5th (and if there's anything higher than the 5th) for the whole weekend. It was too emotional for me to pay attention or even care. My only saving grace was that between two ceremonies on Sat I went for a jog with DH.
My planned meals for today:
- B: protein coffee
- L: chicken skewers + Fage yogurt
- S: TBD, depending on hunger
- D: TJ shrimp & veggies stir fry
- E: 5 miles jog
Happy start of the week! A lot of states are reopening, stay healthy.

Never Let me Go is one of my top 10 books. I can't believe how often I still think of it, even 20+ years after reading it the first time.
