LOL yeah,no!!!

Maybe because I've lived in CA the longest, but I don't "hear" an accent here. I notice in the movies when the characters have heavy accents from the south or Midwest or anywhere for that matter, I have a hard time understanding what they are saying. My kids tell me because English is not my first language.

So the view at Aldi's yesterday when I went to go buy meat. Stores are back to being fairly decimated.

Love your workout buddies.

QOTD: If you have met me I think it can safely be said I have a strong NY/Long Island accent. Ha.

So my news is I am going back to work Monday morning 8am. No store and Mall are not open. GNC will be funneling their GNC.com orders to closed stores and they will be filled there. So I will be basically running a warehouse distribution center. IDK. I have to have 2 people there 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. Me and my boys - 2 - 19 year olds and a 22 year old. So weird. I am told to expect 100-150 orders a day and if I hustle I could do 200. The incentive to hustle that hard eludes me, as I get no commission.

So going back to working with reduced salary. Back to 40 hours on my feet - thank God I lift weights. Also back to dragging a suitcase of food and drink with me. The water there is yellow. May no longer need a workout plan. Just go to work. cannot make this stuff up.

  • veggie omelette, protein muffin
  • turkey sandwich, veggies
  • shrimp tacos, salad
  • S: Greek yogurt, protein, berries

Ex: probably. Supposed to be 78 and I was planning outdoors so need to get my butt out there early.

Sorry to hear about your water situation at work. We only had water fountains at one time but last year we finally got some water dispensing system with hot cold and room temp water. So glad I don't have to carry water no more.

Love your cute workout buddies. I'm heading for the chunk and the drunk.

QOTD- I'm from Oregon so no accent here. But I love to listen to people with accents, Idris Elba could read the phone book and I'd listen. I had a boyfriend from Panama-loved his accent. Love all the Irish and Scottish accents too, OK I just love accents.

One more day to get through. It was raining and miserable yesterday, I got on my rain gear to let my horse hand graze. It wasn't much fun.

Oregon is opening 30 of it's 36 counties back up today. Of course not the Portland Metro area. It turns out there are 4.2M people in this state and they have only tested 1.8% of the population. I hate to say recipe for disaster but we are heading that way. I do want to go walk on the beach, far away from anyone else, but I suspect that won't be the case this weekend. The traffic has steadily increased and we are getting close to normal, which is bad since we have some major gridlock in most areas.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Edited to say I want to go to Dave and Busters, to see a movie-mostly just the popcorn...Tired of these walls closing in. One of my coworkers said that his walls are talking to him. I get it.

Added photo of my lupine, last year I had it temporarily in a pot and I was going to transplant it. It's roots went through the bottom of the pot and I haven't had the heart to try and move it again. The background is my strawberries that are in dire need of weeding. Why is it that weeds seem to grow at an exponential rate compared to actual plants?

G'morning everybody!

I'm surprised you can actually workout when those cuties are around or using the treadmill as their resting place!

Yay! It's Friday! Not that it's any different from any other day. Today is the reopening of some stores and of all people, DS was called back to work. He and I kinda looked at each other surprised when he got the call. It's a surfing/skating store, how essential can it be? I can't imagine many people think "oooh, I can go shopping, first place I stop is the skating store!" I guess we shall see.

QOTD: I'm like Jen, absorbing accents where I go. I remember when I lived in Venice for two years, going back home people were making fun of the way I was talking, because in Tuscany we feel we are the birthplace of Italian language and any other accent but the Tuscan one is just sacrilege! My Engli****hink, has a slight foreign accent but you won't hear it right away. The first year I was in US I went to a 3 months accent reduction class and I think it paid off.

Julia - I love the Bostonian accent. When I was going to BU, I worked at an Italian restaurant (no longer there, in Cambridge called La Groceria). One of the waitresses was born and raised in Boston. I never got tired hearing her talk. I would ask her questions on purpose to hear her accent and her missing Rs.

Accountability: yesterday was detox from the previous day.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: protein coffee
  • L: PP shake
  • S: hb egg
  • D: skipped
  • E: 25 minutes cardio + 45 minutes strength training

Happy Friday!

My pics are from last Sun on Mother's Day. I hate selfies, DS was trying to teach me what angle and how far to keep the phone and DH took our pic.
