What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

Its funny I have always had some springtime sniffles - usually right around the end of April, but nothing terrible at all, so it didn't even occur to me to suspect allergies. But I vacuumed out a ton of dust, so maybe its a dust mite allergy? It is a beautiful couch... I hope we don't have to replace it!

Yes, dust mites are a very common allergy, but you'll need to vacuum it as often as you dust because they come back as dust settles. My son is really allergic to them too and we just spent a fortune getting dust mite covers for all our mattresses and pillows and invested in a high quality air purifier. Totally worth it! I should have done it decades ago for my own allergies. Just goes to show what I'll do for loved ones, but don't think I'm worth it... hmmm...

I am also very self aware of how my words and actions affect other people so I am quite tactful too... I have no tact I screw this up all the time. I think it was my Italian grandmother. I wish I could control it but after 55 years maybe there is just no hope.

I know HOW to have tact, but if you get me mad enough that all goes out the window. haha

Hey everyone! Today has been a good one... trying to move more around the house... seeing little things that need to be done here and there are piling up on my "Honey-do List"
I am extremely scared about things reopening again. I have several people in my life who are immunocompromised and pray that they don't catch anything. My younger sister has the superman complex that nothing can touch her and she is T1D... And as of right now, she doesn't really take the best care of herself as she is living her best 27-year-old life. All I can do is pray for her.
My mother keeps suggesting we go see her "socially distant style" to my brother's vacant home (which has a pool) and honestly, I don't want to go because I am having a difficult time because I won't even get to hug my own mom, my girls won't get to hug their grandmother. It's hard to explain to two small children everything that is going on in the world today so we've decided to stay home. Mind you, she and my brother's vacant home are 45 minutes away. Makes me very upset when I tell her that I don't want to drive 45 min away just to go swimming and to wave at her... we are doing our best to keep the girls busy and that is working for us.
Allergies are kicking my arse as well... hoping all of this wind will let up soon!

QOTD: I think I am a genuine person. I tend to see the best in people, even when they have done me wrong so I think my positive outlook is pretty welcoming, is what (I feel) people's first impression of me is.
