Good morning!

QOTD - My favorite TV mom will always be Claire Huxtable. I know the show is tainted, but that doesn't change the fact that I grew up loving Phylicia Rashad. She was strong, she was soft, she knew what to say and how to say it. She will always be my favorite TV mom.

Breakfast - fasting so, hot coffee, cold topo chico

Lunch - Going to try to extend fast today, so hot tea and water

Snack - fruit smoothie (frozen frui****er, oat milk, hemp seed protein, chia seeds)

Dinner - Kale salad, chickpea "not tuna" salad on crackers, mandarins

I hope everyone has a great day!

Christina

Let it begin with me.

Mornin!

we're headed over to my MIL's in about an hour - we'll pick up our take out order at Panera Bread en route. Since I haven't even eaten breakfast yet, I'll just skip it - or maybe drink a protein shake before I go. I'm picking my friend up from the hospital this afternoon (the one who had the hip replacement) and will probably hang out at her condo until this evening since she'll probably need help. So - that's my day!

accountability was good yesterday. Hopefully I'll be OK the next few days, since I'm not sure how often I'll be at my friend's house (probably a lot!)

QOTD: can't think of any right off hand - I'll come back and update if one pops into my head!

TSS; 4y11m

S1: protein shake (will have one sometime today regardless)

L: Panera chicken strawberry poppyseed salad

I don't know about the rest of the day - but I'm taking some protein bars and individual packets of nuts with me just in case...

if I'm home for dinner (doubtful), then probably 2 Costco chicken skewers with peanut sauce

have a great Mother's Day, everyone!

My alarm also known as Sammy my cat woke me at 4:39AM and wouldn't let me go back to sleep, so I'm trying to be productive.

It's going to be another warm one here. I got a little over a 2 mile walk in. My clothes are washed and I just hung them outside to dry. I am one of those people who whenever I'm given the chance would prefer to line dry my clothes. I know they are stiff but they always smell so good!

I'm a fur baby mother and I'm going to visit my mother this afternoon. I might try to work on the yard before it gets too warm. So much to do, so little energy now that I actually have the time.

Accountability lets just say peanuts and leave it at that.

I haven't weighed myself because I no the salt had probably added a few pounds. I can definitely see it in my fingers, that look like fat little sausages.

Happy Mothers Day to all! Have a great day!

Good morning and Happy Mother's Day to everyone, no matter who you are mothering! Having dinner today with my husband, daughter and her family. Surprise! It's at my house! Lol...it's ok. She'll come loaded down with food and will make sure there is straight up protein for me. She's a good kid. The granddaughters are going to spend the night so Papa can babysit them tomorrow while the other three adults return to work to fire off our first day back at full staff. This should really reduce my stress level and I'm so grateful to have this opportunity to get my "kids", all 14 of them, back to full time work.

QOTD: we've been watching a ton of Tim Allen's Last Man Standing and I am loving the mom. She's silly, she's smart, she owns her own self, she gets her feelings hurt and she finds ways to cope. Including a big glass of wine. My kind of woman.

Menu:

coffee with whey isolate protein

B:egg and cottage cheese

L:3 oz chicken thigh and maybe a bit of avocado

D: still a surprise.

Scale is down maybe a bit too much. Waiting to see what happens in a few days. I didn't walk yesterday, but I did do weights, resistance and stretching. Walk is back on the list today. Peace, everyone!

Good morning, everybody!

Happy Mothers Day to all of the Mom's out there. We were hoping to get Marilyn some hanging flowers for Mother's Day, but we got a late Polar Vortex this week, so there was a frost warning last night. I guess we will wait until next weekend for that.

Today is a low key day, I will call my Mom and do some work for my non-profit Board. Maybe some reading.

QOTD: Peg Bundy

Breakfast: Protein Bar

Lunch: Cheeseburger

Snack: nuts

Dinner: TBD

Have a great, day, all!

I fell asleep around 10 PM and didn't wake up till noon today. For someone with chronic insomnia, a sleep like that feels like the best gift in the world!

Had another great day yesterday eating the Pound of Cure way and stuck to my menu plan. Was down 0.6 lbs today, for a total of 3.6 lbs in three days. I'll take it! It's definitely slowing down now, so will likely go back to just weighing weekly soon.

It's Mother's day as you all know, and my son bought be a box of my favourite chocolate, Lindt Milk Chocolate balls and my husband got me a coke slushee. Thirteen of those little chocolate demons calling my name. It's also my birthday this month and I know they will be buying me more treats then too. My plan is to have a "treat cheat" but eat on plan the rest of the day so I don't totally derail myself. Neither of them can eat dairy so I can't share with them, but I know my auntie loves Lindt too, so I'll give her the leftovers when I see her on Monday.

Meal plan:

  • Fruit smoothie - frozen banana, strawberry, blueberries, and cashew milk
  • Salad with kale greens mix, chicken, avocado, pumpkin seeds, dried date, pickled red onion, olive oil, balsamic vinegar
  • Thai chicken cauliflower red curry (no rice!)
  • Lindt chocolate and a slushee
  • Refried beans with avocado and salsa
  • Snacks: applesauce, nuts, strawberries

QOTD: Loralei from Gilmore Girls. I relate to being a single mom and also being very close to my teen... and struggling to let go and let him grow up. This parenting gig is HARD!

I get the blue or black Lindt truffles. Darker chocolate, really good stuff.

I wish I liked dark chocolate... but alas, I'm a milk or white chocolate gal forever!
