What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Yesterday was a good day. Got a lot of stuff done around the house... meaning laundry and dishes/kitchen. Trying to do my best to keep things in order since I have found that I am getting a little overwhelmed with kids, work and house/family with not having an outlet
Breakfast: 2 eggs, 1/4 c shredded cheese
Snack: reduced sugar fruit snacks (I just really wanted something sweet. Shared with the kiddos, so I maybe had 5). String Cheese and 2 strawberries
Lunch: Ham and Cheese roll-ups and a small salad
Snack: unknown...
Dinner: Homemade tomato/meat sauce... the family will have pasta noodles, I will have a bowl of the sauce with a veggie patty
Dessert: small bowl of fruit (Strawberries, Mango, and banana)
QOTD: I have met several pro sports players.... too many. but my most infamous celebrity was Elton John. My mom was running the San Diego Marathon back in the day and he walked right up to us and chatted for a moment... gave us high fives. unfortunately, it was before cell phone cameras and I didn't have a disposable camera to snap a photo.

Officially rejoining the menu thread. My food choices have been AWFUL lately, but since I'm still under a year out from my RNY revision, I've been able to get away without regaining.
I've also been (deliberately) slacking on the exercise front. Roller derby has been cancelled for two months, my triathlon and century bike ride have been rescheduled, and I let myself slide on my gym routine since that was cancelled. I've been rollerskating outside, I've logged over 100mi since quarantine began, but it's too hot for that now.
So going forward, my plan is:
- Post here every day for accountability
- Log all my food
- Limit the junk
- Exercise 5 days a week, even if it's only 20 minutes. I've got my Peloton, yoga app, and I just ordered a TRX setup (should be here in a week or two). Also got a flashy vest if I want to try running after dark
So here we go!
Today:
- B: Belvita biscuit (not great, but better than what I've been having lately)
- L: Tuna salad
- D: Chicken strips
- S: Greek yogurt, salami-and-cheese roll-ups
- E: Long ride on the spin bike followed by some foam rolling
Let's do this!!

G'afternoon, everyone!
I've been working on my friend's "new" laptop this morning, and I think everything is done now. Whew. This turned out to be a bigger task than I bargained for. But that's fine - it's not like I had anything else to do... I also made protein pancakes while the laptop was updating. I usually make enough to last a week so I don't have to do them every day. They're always much better the day I make them, but it's certainly convenient to have some in the fridge ready to go on subsequent days. I'll take a walk (again...) sometime today, but that's about it. I guess I'll do some reading, too.
QOTD: not really. I chatted with Holly Near and Jackie Joyner Kershee after attending events given by them (well, I was sitting at the table with JJK eating lunch before she gave her speech, since I was on the programming committee for that event). And when I was about 15 or so, I was absolutely thrilled to discover that Gov Gilligan (of Ohio) was sitting at the table next to ours at some pancake place in Columbus, Ohio. I was with a friend and her family, headed to Kings Island amusement park. Her dad went over to him and got his autograph for us (since we were too scared to!). I've also become very chummy with a local (well, statewide) celebrity here who used to host a very popular call-in radio show (in fact, it's her laptop that I'm working on right now..). Other than that - not that I can think of. There aren't many opportunities to meet celebrities out and about around here. Although I went to see Art Garfunkel once in concert here, and he mentioned that he'd been strolling around downtown that afternoon. If I was out on the street and happened to recognize him (which I kind of doubt I would), I would have been thrilled!
accountability was great yesterday, but my weight is still up for some reason (although down a half pound since yesterday). I'm going to quit worrying about it. I'm eating right and exercising, so that's pretty much all I can control.
TSS: 4 y 11 m
B: protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt and blueberry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: Fit Frappe
L: chocolate "mousse" (made with cottage cheese and protein powder) with raspberries
AS: maybe L&F yogurt - or a piece of yogurt pie
D: salmon. And some kind of vegetables or else salad with light dressing
have a great day, all!
