What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

Happy Cinco de Mayo, everyone! Remember how excited we were that it was going to fall on Taco Tuesday this year? Haha. Oh well...
Yesterday was pretty boring at work. I'm taking the afternoon off today... I had already scheduled it as a sick day, but even though my mammogram and annual are canceled, I am taking the time anyway. No plans, but why not, right?
Accountability: I fell victim to Grim's bread making yesterday and had a fresh English Muffin right out of the oven instead of dinner. Points were within range for the day, but it was obviously not a good choice. I am still really enjoying the run series in Portugal. Today I am planning to do that again, and will probably add in either a real outside walk or some time on the elliptical machine.
QOTD: Have you ever met a celebrity? I have met quite a few! I used to work at the Children's Museum in Boston during the 90s and while I was working there I met: Susan Sarandon & Tim Robbins; Michael J Fox & Tracy Pollan; Peter Scholari. Peter Scholari was seriously the nicest man I have ever met. And I am not kidding when I tell you that I have met Steven Tyler a bunch of different times in a bunch of different situations. Haha--he is everywhere... I guess meeting Carly Elwes in February counts, too, right?
Good morning all! My accountability was better yesterday. Still not perfect, but better. I have got to get a handle on these sweet cravings though. Feeling extra crampy and bloated today. Wishing I could go back to bed. Not sure if I'd want to continue with the dream I was having though. I was about to tear into a big bag of chips. Sigh....I've resorted to dreaming about food now. At least I was down two of those extra five pounds this morning. I'm not holding my breath though as I'll likely be up and down for the next few days until my period is over.
QODT: Hmmm my mind is drawing a blank. I don't think so though.

I miss Smoking. I wanted to get a sleeve so I could still smoke but complications had me go from VSG to RNY in 1 week. I even cried to the doctor I don't want RNY I want to smoke. I really do miss it but made a commitment and I won't go back to it. Sometimes I need to take an air hit like I'm smoking to get the urge to go away. 2 years 7 months later.

Good morning! I was fully on plan yesterday but my weight is up 2.2 pounds after a new low yesterday (post regain). I almost always bounce up the next day after a low (remember that graph I showed), but not this much. WTF! I am just going to put it out of my mind and stay on my plan...
QOTD: Not really, though I have met some important political people and musical band members in person. I guess I didn't feel like it counted for much so I didn't really note them in my mind as significant events.

Oh I forgot about famous politicians that I have met and spoken with! Now adding to my list:
- Edward Kennedy
- Joe Kennedy
- Mike Dukakis
- Nancy Pelosi
- Kirsten Gillibrand
Morning! It's cold and rainy today. The only good news to that is that our lawn was starting to look like it needed to be watered and I'd really rather wait until June/July to start that cycle. So, a rainy day is good. I had a busy day at work yesterday. I'm hoping for that again today. It makes the days go by a lot faster when I'm busy. I'm hoping our university will decide what fall is going to look like and then we can start planning.
QOTD: I have met Tom Felton. The guy (kid at the time) who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. Our area has (in NY) a huge national carp fishing tournament each year and he had family in that town and came once. I had work connections that had me there at the time. The next closest thing is that I'm going to be featured in a Scientific American article in June by a journalist *****gularly writes for the NY Times and has published a book. I thought it was pretty cool meeting her.
My Food:
- Coffee w/ Cream x2
- Greek Yogurt, Granola, Strawberries
- Broccoli Cheddar Soup Leftovers
- Chicken Thigh & Potatoes

Being featured in Scientific American seems like a big deal!! That's exciting!

It is! The article is on weight agnostic healthcare and specifically the practice that I go to here. But, because of my history with obesity, diabetes, WLS, and then an eating disorder I think I made the most interesting/complicated patient story for them.
