Thanks!
That's really nice that you reconnected with a good teacher. I am sure that meant a lot!

Good morning, everybody!
We have dual construction going on around us. The next door neighbors are having their roof replaced and across the street they are building a new house (tear down). Its also trash and recycling pick-up day, so the neighborhood is quite loud today.
We picked up some movies at Target this week to watch at night. Saturday night we watched Jumangi 2. It was pretty cute. I know that I had seen the original where Jumangi was a board game, but I don't think that I saw the first one where it was a video game. Maybe we will watch another tonight.
We had a pretty good weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather while we could. Its going to be cooler this week, back down into the 40's and 50"s.
QOTD: I really liked my high school accounting teacher.
Breakfast: turkey meatballs and cottage cheese
lunch: mahi burger

Good morning. Back is really acting up, likely from carrying all the 5 gallon water bottles from the car to the house. Not smart, but oh well. Weight was up a pound over the weekend, so clamping down on snacking the week.
QOTD - I've had some incredible teachers over the years, at all educational levels. I guess I'll stick with who I thought of first and second. It's a tie for me. Mr. Phillip Boria was my Chemistry teacher in High School. He taught me to think and analyze situations. It really awoke the analytical skillset for me, something I absolutely love. Then there was Mrs. Homerding, my business education teacher. She taught me that I can set goals and achieve them to fulfill my potential. I ended up patterning my undergraduate to teach business education because of her. Both of these teachers turned an average performing high potential person into what I've become today - probably more than any ten or more other people combined.

Morning! I've had this open since early, but got busy and didn't end up typing anything to post. Yesterday was 85 degrees and we went on a Jeep ride and ended up getting some vegetable plants to put in our container gardens. We planted those last night. We have a meeting next week about our potential patio design. Might as well make our backyard nice when we can't really leave it!
QOTD: My favorite teachers growing up were K-2nd grade. I had the same teacher for K & 1st and she was just the epitome of early elementary school teacher. Second grade had a real focus on creative writing which, at the time, I loved and she was a really compatible teacher. I didn't really have any high school teachers that left a true impression on me, but I was not an engaged student from 9th-12th grade.

OMG, I have a really epic Pinterest page happening for patio designs right now. I agree--if my vacation this year is going to be in the backyard, it damn well better be a good one!
I can't quite get Grim to agree that we need a pool (despite my begging 40+ times a day), but I think I can sell him on an outdoor sectional and a grill upgrade :)

QOTD: My favorite teachers were Mrs. Damore (Freshman) Ms. Sultany (Sophomore Year) in High school. both I am still friends with to this day and have loved seeing them still teaching at my alma mater.
Breakfast: a protein pancake
Snack: String Cheese and some fishy crackers
Lunch: Quesadilla with a low carb tortilla and 1/2 cup shredded cheese and turkey slice
Snack: Protein Shake
Dinner: Teriyaki chicken thighs off the smoker, with smoked asparagus and a side salad
QOTD- Unfortunately I can't remember names but my grade school Spanish teacher was amazing, and I think it was 8th grade I had this amazing teacher who had us journal and she never judged what we wrote just wanted us to write everyday. It was a really good thing for teenagers to write everyday, you get so many issues out and for me just writing it allows me to let it go.
Somehow Cracker Jacks happened last night, I couldn't seem to stop eating them. Not sure where that came from. My roommate was told that they are no longer going to package them in the little boxes, so I saw them at Dollar Tree and had to buy them. Also 5 more 500 piece puzzles, they had been out of them and when I saw them I snagged them. I need to keep myself occupied.
I got my hair and nails done on Saturday and can't believe how much better it makes me feel. No more skunk stripe and the polish actually covers all of my nails now...I know simple things but it really does help my mood.
I know I'm late to this, I had it open yesterday but didn't get anything written.
I hope everyone had a great day!
