What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
on 5/4/20 6:07 am - Amarillo, TX
I love both bag but the kitty is soooo my favorite! That is so adorable! Well done!
good morning menu friends.
this past weekend was pretty awful food wise and emotionally. I had a good talk with my mom though and that helped. My pain levels are a main culprit in my issues. It's leading me down the path of wanting to comfort myself. It's also causing my depression levels to tank. I see my psychiatrist on the 20th and feel a med change is in need. The pain isn't going anywhere ATM so I need something to help. I don't know if the appointment will still happen yet but I'm hopeful for at least a telemedicine appointment from home(she is telemedicine at the clinic so that wouldn't be a stretch). I know there is no magic pill but a little help would be good. I also see my bariatric surgeon's NP on the 15th. I'm a little afraid. BUT I will face the music and be honest. I need lab work done but I'm not sure they'll be able to do that any time soon.
qotd:my third grade teacher, Mrs.Winter. Over all my teachers sucked and sucked big time. I fell through the cracks big time and nobody at school gave a damn. ESP in high school.

Good morning! JB, I hope all is well with the plumbing issues. We had a pretty nice weekend and I'm not feeling the Monday vibe. Our shelter in place is officially extended to the end of the month so it seems silly to "waste" vacation time but might need a day or two this month.
Good news: I was able to add some slogging (slow jogging) this weekend. Bad news: my elliptical broke this morning, I'm hoping my hubby can get it working again.
Accountability: Pretty good weekend.

Hmmm, are you sure that John is not breaking all of your equipment to try to get you to stop running and heal!?

Good morning JB and Menuers,
Hoping to have a great day today however I am going to get my hair done after work(shhhh) I can't go another day so my hairdresser has agreed to see me(were personal friends as well.)But that will eliminate my evening run which will not be good considering the amount of grazing I did yesterday. How does the scale go up 3lbs in one day? Ugh. I'll be fighting all week to get it off. I feel like I start every Monday this way .
Congratulations on the Craftiness JB I am sure the gift recipients will be happy to receive those. I hope you got the plumbing situation settle with little to no cost. Thankfully you got that handyman.
QOTD: Honestly I do not have any teachers that stands out to me. Mrs.Beagly in the second grade was good but only because I left a catholic school in first grade after having my hands beat with a ruler because I wrote left handed and was dyslexic which was not diagnosed because it was not even a legit diagnoses in the late 60's
Accountability: Saturday was good I woke up Sunday actually lighter then Saturday morning then all hell let loose Sunday. I was in the he kitchen cooking all day . I had crust less frittata, Keto crusted pizza(high fat and calories tons of cheese) and I made a stuffed zucchini with ground turkey but I used a bacon alfredo out of a jar and shredded cheddar on it. Then there was tons of peanut butter, cinnamon flavored buttercream frosting I found in the freezer and I smeared it on Blueberry Belvita morning biscuits. I will work hard to get this off quickly. Hopefully the running I been doing will get me there fast.

My mom was completely physically abused by her 4th grade teacher (public school!) for being left handed, too. She didn't like seeing one student out of place, so she would smack my mom until she wrote with her right hand. Unbelievable.
Ooooh, cinnamon flavored buttercream frosting? Who could possibly have turned that down???

I went to Catholic school 1-3rd grades, and the nuns were definitely mean. I got in trouble for whistling in the bathroom-who knew that was a sin. I also had some of the same nuns that my Mom had, but I did learn and was way ahead when I went back to public school in 4th grade.

Mornin' All!
those cat tote bags are absolutely great, JB!! I love them!
my Mah Jongg groups "meets" (online) at 10:00 for a couple hours of Mah Jongg, but after that, I got nuttin'. My friend whose "new" (to her) laptop I was working on yesterday wants me to do a couple more things to it, so I'm guessing I'll be busy with that this afternoon. And walking, of course - I get out and walk every day that it's not raining...
accountability ended up OK yesterday even though I felt like an eating machine at one point. Luckily I've been waiting to eat breakfast until 10:00 am or later lately, which has really helped me manage my calorie intake better. So even though I ate more than planned, at least I was still within my maintenance range (although at the high end - whereas I've been trying to eat consistently at the LOW end so I can get rid of a few lbs). I'll do better today.
QOTD: I really liked my 3rd and 5th grade teachers. My third grade teacher is long gone, but I reconnected with the 5th grade one about a year ago, since I found her on Facebook. She's now long retired and living in FL. I also loved my 7th grade science teacher, who's now gone as well. I reconnected with him several years ago. And then there was my college biology professor, Dr. Bunn. She really, really wanted me to major in Biology, and I should have listened (I majored in computer science instead). Now a lot of things I would have done if I had a chance to do it over again would have required a science background, so that Biology degree would have been perfect! BUT...that's not where I was at 40 years ago, so....
