Oh Monday.... we meet again. I am overtired and wishing I could have another day. Yesterday was nice, though--I did a lot of crafty things and went on a 4 mile walk. It was gorgeous--72 and no humidity.

But after 8pm my mom called in a panic with a plumbing emergency and we decided to give up our distancing and go over to help. We didn't get home until 11:30pm, so I am starting the day overtired!

Here are some pics of my day--two designs completed on canvas bags (gifts for friends) and a pic from my walk.

Accountability: Amazing with exercise and was 100% with food, too, until Mom fed me "thank you" cookies. They were amazing and totally worth it :)

QOTD: It's Teacher Appreciation Week! Who was your favorite teacher? TBH, I became a teacher because I didn't really have too many good teachers over the years and thought I could make a better environment for my students than I had experienced But I have two that stood out... I loved my Kindergarten Teacher, Mrs. Stein--she was so incredibly sweet, loving and creative. I also had a really great English teacher in HS, Mrs Williams. I learned so much from her!

Good morning everyone! Yesterday was a lot better eating wise. It wasn't perfect, but so much better than my binge fest on Saturday. I am up 5 pounds this morning though. Ugh! I am going to blame that on it being that time of month though. It would explain the bloating, cravings and headaches. I am super sleepy this morning even though I went to bed shortly after 9 last night which is early for me.

QOTD: Wow this is a tough one as I felt like I had so many awesome teachers. I'd say the one that stood out the most though was my high school history and current events teacher Mr. H. I'll call him that because I could never spell his name. Had him for both classes my junior year and senior year. He was so funny and kept class interesting. I actually looked forward to going to his class everyday.

I am paddling the same Canoe as you are this week. Lots of terrible choices. Hope we get back on track and have a successful week. Good luck.

That's great that you had so many amazing teachers. Mine were mostly really burnt out and mean. I never knew why so many people who seemingly hated kids chose to be a teachers.

Hope that 5lbs disappears tonight :)

Oh I've definitely had a few bad ones. I remember this one teacher I had in middle school for keyboarding class, Ms. O'Meara. I was so scared of that teacher.....well actually everyone was. I dreaded her class so much! She was an older lady from Ireland with this thick Irish accent. She was so strict! She'd walk around with a ruler and would slap your hands with it if you weren't typing correctly. She could not stand to see someone pecking at the keys with two fingers....that would sure get you a hand slap. If you weren't typing with all your fingers then that wasn't typing according to her. I'd aways tense up when she'd walk by me. I shouldn't say she was a bad teacher. She was good at what she did, she just had everyone scared to death of her. Because of her I am at least an excellent typist! Lol

Thanks! I hope I lose those 5 pounds quickly too!

Good morning and happy Monday! They are finally installing my solar this week and I have someone coming over to start up my sprinklers...I tried it myself but couldn't get them to pop, not sure if I missed a step or what. The solar installation is a 3 day process so it will be a loud week.

qotd - from 6th grade on, I was lucky to have a lot of really good teachers. I have reached out to several of them over the years to tell them what an impact they had on me!

i tried keto ice cream yesterday, it was fine but 3 bites in, I decided it wasn't worth the calories. I ended up not making the roast on my menu yesterday so going to do that today.

4 oz ever roast deli chicken

4 oz roast

I used RGF Ice cream as a meal Saturday night I was craving something sweet so I added some berry's and low fat cool whip and Torini SF salted caramel since it was vanilla ice cream and called it dinner. I stayed on plan and killed my craving. To bad I did not have as much restraint on Sunday

I love those bags and green buds on the trees!!!!

Yesterday I highlighted my roots and cut my hair. I think it came out okay so that will hold me for a few more weeks. We also had a distanced dinner in the driveway with friends (ate takeout from a local restaurant).

QOTD: My favorite teacher was probably my foreign language teacher in high school. I had both Latin and French with her. She was younger than many of my other teachers, so maybe that is part of why she had more enthusiasm about her job. I enjoyed those classes and she was a kind, caring person as well, willing to listen to teenagers when they needed someone to talk to.

I'm seriously so impressed that you managed to do your own hair. I think I am still emotionally scarred from my mom trying to cut my bangs as a 6 year old--they were always crooked and too short for two weeks. Mine is getting bigger and frizzier by the day, but I have decided to just wear it like a badge of honor for my commitment to social distancing. It's going to be an epic haircut when I finally get in there!
