What's on your Saturday Menu, RNYers?
I just found out that they tore down Portland Meadows the local horse track. It was built in 1946 and it is where I bought my horse so I was really sad to hear it. I used to go out and jus****ch the horses race, so much fun! Do we really need another warehouse????

I never liked the frosted doughnuts all that much--I'd go for an old fashioned plain one, glazed or powdered sugar any day!

So your picture reminded me that donuts used to be a HUGE problem for me so I still avoid being around them at all costs. There is this phenomenal locally owned donut shop near here that is offering a dozen donuts for $4 this weekend. NO WAY am I going near that place!
Today is laundry day and hanging around day (what else is new). We did go to the beach for a couple of hours yesterday and had the same experience as previously. Everyone following rules nicely. But the bathrooms are now open. Nope, not risking that!
We were in the Friday night golf cart parade for the first time. They instituted them about a month ago to lift people's spirits and last night was the biggest with 26 carts. Lots of residents come out and wave and there are horns blowing, whooping and hollering going on. Justice got a little wound up and was barking like crazy. When we got back home he had the zoomies for a bit and ran around like a crazy boy but then settled down. I'm not sure I will bring him next time. He likes the cart but I think it was too much noise.
Accountability: I don't usually include this but there were entirely too many peanuts and other salty snacks last night. No wine as an excuse either. So I was under my WW Bluepoints but man, high sodium is not good for weight!
QOTD: My family played poker on weekends and vacations with poker chips when I was a child. I knew many games but I think I burnt out on cards. BTW I didn't know poker could be played for money until my older brother was a teenager and started playing for change with his friends. I have played other card games at times but tire of them eventually. At one point I was great at Gin Rummy. When DD was here a few weeks ago we played Rummy every night. It was fun to spend that time with her, but we haven't played since she left.

Sounds like fun! I can imagine that was the most excitement Justice has seen in ages!
So I found an app on my phone to generate all kinds of horn sounds that I can blast through my cordless Bluetooth speaker for next time...

Good Saturday morning.
I'm so freaking tired I want to stop doing everything. I don't care about food being bad for me...well certain foods(I'm looking at you cereal). Even though the rational part of my brain knows better I keep trying to comfort myself and it NEVER EVER works...ever. I am frustrated to tears.
this morning after I fed the dogs I opened the front door to be greated by at least 20 moths and I have two very interested cats near by. So all these fluttering things are driving them wild. The cats are running into stuff and acting stupid crazy. Thankfully a lot of the moths got out the screen door but those that got in did not fare well...they became snacks. It looks to be a bad year for moths in this part of Texas.
the covid-19 stuff is getting worse here. In our city of 200,000 we had 100+ news cases yesterday a lone. It's all centered on meat packing plants and it's scary as the news shows these groups being bussed up to them...hardly a one of them wearing a mask or practicing social distancing. It's scary. I don't think Texas has done well in this whole thing. Our mayor had to beg the governor for more tests. They just are not testing people like they should. Of course our lt governor was one that said grandparents should be willing to sacrifice their lives for our economy. Not high quality people in power. Ok...i'll shut up now.
qotd: I can play canasta but my family were domino people. I still remember the fights my grandpa had with some of his family when I was a little one. Dominos was serious stuff.

Sorry you are struggling with food and its hold on you. I have lots of days where I struggle too. I post my before picture on the door of the frig to remind me where my "friend " food got me. We've had a long time to develop bad coping habits--in my case 52 years before I had surgery. I really shouldn't be surprised that I still struggle 8 years later. It does generally get easier to make good choices but stress of any kind including physical pain which I know you cope with can throw me in a tailspin too. We need to both just focus on making the next choice the best one it can be. We can both do this!
