What is a burpee over an object? Burpees are bad enough but that seems like a whole mother level of suck.

Lots of times people have a barbell in front of them do a burpee on one side, jump over the barbell and do one on the other side still facing the barbell. Repeat.

When I am at gym I usually set up the steps they use for a step class in front of me and do a high step over it.

Today I had none of that so just set a yoga strap on the floor and did a lateral jump over it.

I do modify - if I go to floor I cannot jump in and out - I step, if I want to jump my hands have to be raised a little on something... working on it.

More Burpee nomenclature.

Burpee pull-up is stand under a bar that is six inches above your hands with arms extended up. Do a burpee and jump up, grab the bar and pull your chin over the bar. Let go and repeat.

G'morning all!

JB - those flowers are great. How creative.

I had a good semi productive weekend. I was inspired by Teenie's picture of her fridge and re-organized my whole fridge. Things I learned from Pinterest rabbit hole: two door fridge is called french door fridge, milk doesn't go in the door, neither do the eggs (I always thought that upper shelf of the door is for eggs but it's for butter). So after I did my research our fridge now looks completely different. I wish I had taken a pic of before and while all the items were on the counter. Some things were thrown out because they had expired but with the new org now I have have a shelf empty.

Rest of the weekend was pretty subdued. Funny when the re-org of the fridge is the main highlight of your weekend. We went out for walks too and actually discovered a new spot that is only 5 minutes from home. I'll share the pics on Fri.

QOTD: I don't know how old I was, but I must have been pretty young because there were no other siblings. I was in bed and my parents out at a party. The nanny had turned off the hall light and I was scared. So I would get up and turn it on and go back to bed quietly and she would come and turn it back off. This went on for a good while. Now looking back I'm surprised there was no conversation, just lights on lights off repeatedly. I guess the nanny was sick and tired of me.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: Protein coffee
  • L: Tuna & hb eggs
  • S1: beef jerky
  • S2: fage yogurt & SF syrup
  • S3: pretzel crisp (15)
  • D: shredded pork & fire roasted mixed veggies
  • E: rest day

Happy Mon!

Mornin' All!

yesterday was absolutely beautiful! We went on a long walk on a path down on campus that goes along one of the lakes, but boy - it was NOT the day to do it. Everyone else was doing it, too. Most people were really good about social distancing, but some people were not. There were a handful of times when people walked by me - or passed me - while only being I swear like two feet away. I turned my face away from them when they did - but boy, was I ticked off! What is up with these stupid people?? I get that everyone is getting tired of the lockdown, but these yoyos are totally ignoring healthy behavior. I hope I don't get this damn virus from them!!!

accountability was excellent and weight was down again this morning. I'm on a roll again!!

So last night I made another version of LIz's WW lemon blueberry yogurt pie. I made a cheesecake one and added some canned cherries (packed in water with no sugar). The cheesecake taste wasn't originally strong enough (the lemon version has a box of SF lemon pudding PLUS the juice and rind of a whole lemon), so I added a second box of SF cheesecake pudding mix. It may have been a little TOO much after that (although the cherries cut into that), but we'll see. I haven't tried the finished product yet. If it's too cheesecake-y, I'll make it with 1.5 boxes of cheesecake pudding mix next time. Regardless, it'll be fun to experiment with this recipe!

I'm playing online Mah Jongg with my regular Mah Jongg playing group in 20 minutes. After that, no plans other than I'll get out again today and walk. And maybe come up with the some project to do so I'll feel somewhat productive!

TSS: 4y10m

B: protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt and blueberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: 2 Costco chicken skewers dipped in spicy peanut sauce

AS: piece of the cherry cheesecake yogurt pie? Raw veggies with dip, if needed

D: either chipotle chicken tacos or 1/4 of a cauliflower-crusted pizza

have a great day, everyone!

it was pretty good! Not a super creamy texture like a real cheesecake, but I still liked it (I'm wondering if a low fat or full fat yogurt might make a difference with that? It might be OK for me because there wouldn't be that many more calories in one piece, but not for WW folks if you wanted to keep it zero points...). I put a couple tablespoons of light Cool Whip on it - but you know what just occurred to me? I could make a plain cheesecake one (no cherries) and spoon some of that strawberry compote on it!!

btw - I think the two boxes of SF cheesecake was fine. The taste came through, but it wasn't overwhelming. You might need to put a little extra yogurt in since there's two boxes of pudding mix instead of one (I don't really know how much I put in since I didn't measure it - but it looked to be about 3 C - but then I had the cherries in there as well, which gave it some moisture...)
