Liz - Humboldt Fog is my absolute favorite. I occasionally pick it up at Whole Paycheck for like $40 a pound or something ridiculous. Wegmans carries it too. It's soooo delicious.

Good Sunday morning menu friends.

we are supposed to hit the mid to upper 90's late this week. Ugh. I hate the super cold but I still don't like the heat. My brother is coming over today to help us put in 2 a/c units. Alas we don't have forced heating or central air. Such a pain in the butt but we manage. This house was built in the 40's.

other than that not much planned. We are doing taco & burritos for my brother and his family today. Super fancy for us lol. I'm feeling really tired so it'll be a long day.

qotd:that's like asking me to pick a favorite kid. LOL I love cheese but if I had to pick my top 3 would be....blue cheese, feta & extra sharp cheddar...the sharper the better.

b:oatmeal with sf creamer(last of it! Yay)

l:low carb tortilla, one ultra thin and small crispy taco shell. 1 oz hamburger meat, onions, tomatoes, lettuce and light sour cream...oh and 2% shredded sharp cheese.

s:PP shake with strawberries

d:thinking fish...prob a small beer battered cod fillet and maybe a small side salad after that

s:???

Good morning and happy Sunday!

QOTD - I used to be a cheese snob/fanatic. Now, my favorite cheese is vegan, and it's Chao sliced. It's so good, melty and smooth.

breakfast - fasting so hot tea and coffee, Topo Chico

lunch - making a kale salad (copying local restaurant), maybe vegan hot dog with some chao cheese!

dinner - potato salad, gardein "chicken" tenders, beans

have a great day everyone!

Christina

Let it begin with me.

Good morning menu friends! Miss Lily and I have 2.4 miles in already and will do more later. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 120.2 today. We walked 6 miles yesterday and yes I was bored. We both slept great last night! Got my cleaning done yesterday and today would like to finish sanding the dining hall door so it will be ready to paint Monday morning. QOTD sharp cheddar, mozzarella and swiss. I'm a fan of any cheese except feta though. I love a good blue cheese on burgers! Here's the food plan for today B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c cheesy broccoli soup D 4 oz of whatever protein hubby cooks. No snacks and at least 100 ounces of fluids. Pics from our morning walk to follow. Stay safe friends!

I know we intend to enjoy it these last few days. We'll most likely be heading home Saturday so we can get things caught up there and spend some time with our youngest son Sam.

Good morning everyone! I stuck to plan yesterday with my menu and yet I was still up 8 ounces this morning. Ugh....so frustrating. I swear the pattern this week has been up a pound, down a pound, stall and repeat! Maybe I need to be even stricter with my diet and exercise. I've started jogging for 30 minutes a day instead of walking. Maybe I need to increase that to an hour everyday.

QOTD: smoked Gouda and pepper jack are my favorites, but I love cheese so much I'll eat all of them!

B: green smoothie

L: salad

D: leftover shrimp Alfredo with zoodles and light Alfredo sauce

That's awesome about the 30 minutes of jogging! You must feel awesome!

But, I don't think increasing your exercise will be the key--calories are usually the culprit. Are you weighing/measuing to know that your serving size is correct? I found that I can easily add on a couple extra hundred calories a day when I eyeball things instead of weigh...

Thanks! I have a lot more energy than I used to that's for sure!

Regarding the weighing and measuring my food....honestly, no I haven't been. My food scale stopped working and I don't know if it's the batteries or the scale. As bad as it sounds I've just been too lazy on figuring out what the issue is and getting new batteries/new scale. So I've just been eyeballing which I know i can not rely on. I'd probably be shocked at how many more calories I'm actually consuming due to incorrect portion sizes! So yeah, I need to get off my lazy bum and get the food scale working so I can get back on track.
