What's on your Saturday Menu, RNYers?
on 4/25/20 3:14 am
Morning everyone! Hope you all had a great week. It was awesome to see so many stunning before & afters yesterday! Damn we are a good looking group! I didn't get a chance to come back and comment on everything, but I loved seeing everyone :) I think we might have hit a record for most comments on a menu thread yesterday! Woot!
So, I braved the grocery store by myself yesterday and went to Trader Joe's at noon. It was overcast, raining, and cold (42 degrees) so I hoped that I would be the only one in the outdoor line, but I had to wait 30 minutes in the rain before getting in. I thought they did a really great job with cleanliness and organization, and people were respectful about following one way aisles. But nonetheless, it was stressful to feel very rushed, and I ended up just grabbing things without being thoughtful. I got way more food than I will be able to eat, and I knew it while I was still in the store, but I didn't feel like I could circle back to put things away or take an extra second to read a label, so I really didn't do a good job with this shopping trip. Oh well. Too much is better than not enough, I guess, but I miss real shopping.
I don't have any real "plans" today but it is going to be 60 degrees and sunny, so I am really hoping to get some vitamin D :) I also need to organize all this food I got and make a plan.
Accountability: I didn't stick to my menu at all once I got home from the grocery store, because I needed to cook things from the freezer in order to fit more in. But I stuck to my points range.
QOTD: What is your favorite tv show theme song?
We've been watching the Mary Tyler Moore Show and that is such a great theme song! I listen to it over and over and never tire of it. A few other favorites are: Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt; The Golden Girls; & M.A.S.H.
My treadmill comes on Monday! Til then, I am determined to do some exercise classes and I plan to walk a lot today in the warm temps.

Today is laundry day and riding around in Elmo day. For those who didn't see Elmo on FB, here is a picture of me in it yesterday:
QOTD: I can't think of one. I don't have good recall of songs unfortunately.
