Oh boy! Every time I had knee problems my trainer would tell me to change shoes. I know you changed shoes recently, but you never know. Maybe use your old shoes for a couple of sessions to see if you feel a difference. Hope you get better, no fun or worth it going to the dr these days.

I have been using one pair for treadmill and one for outdoor lately. Honestly, I knew I shouldn't be pushing it with all the extra daytime runs since I was also increasing the morning ones to daily since the gym closed and I wasn't breaking up my routine by doing the stairmaster twice a week. Thank you for the suggestion!

We all know you are the cardio superwoman, but your knee might have not gotten the message. RICE to the rescue.

Let's see, I shaved this morning, so I guess I dressed for Zoom (or Webex in most of my cases). Still waiting for my new frames to come in the mail, hopefully by the end of next week. I broke my primary glasses while exercising last week, or possibly when I fell asleep on them the day before and the exercise was just too much for them to handle. So its TV glasses with professor looking readers on top of them. Adds a whole new dimension to zoom calls. I do have some cool and practical readers coming from Readers.com on Friday. I got 3 readers at 250 power (not an easy strength to find in the stores) for $35 shipped. I had a 40 off coupon and two were on clearance even before the 40 off. I guess that will get me through this until my glasses are fixed in about two weeks or so.

Well I had my physical on Saturday and the blood-work confirmed what I suspected; I was eating too damn many carbs. My glucose tested 135. That was it! Really hit it hard and its starting to drop back into the high normal range for me. I was so missing my swedish fish during a few calls yesterday. But I ate an apple and had some yogurt with fruit for snacks and it all worked out fine.

Exercise is still good, so that is really helping and my weight is down under 187 again, so happy.

B - oatmeal, berries, nuts

L - small omelet

S - mandarins

D - Beet salad with nuts and pears (half), half a sirloin burger with blue cheese from Praire Grass Cafe. It's their Earth Day deal (any salad/appetizer and a burger for $20). It's so good! Burger alone is normally $18 and it's conceived without a bun. It was rated the best burger in Chicago in 2013, I think. They did cave and will offer a bun, but it's not good with one IMHO. On Wednesdays they generally play around with a special burger offer. When you are at the restaurant its funny to watch everyone eating burgers on a Wednesday. I miss eating at a restaurant :(

S - Apple and PB

Good morning, everybody!

Well, its Wednesday. My favorite show, Seal Team, is on tonight, so, I've got that going for me. We are waiting to see if the Illinois stay at home order is lifted. They are projecting cases to peak in Mid-May, so it seems likely.

QOTD: Can't concentrate is probably mine.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs

Snack: Protein Bar

Lunch: Mahi burger

snack: nuts

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

I hadn't heard about the peak cases in May...the CEO of my company just announced he is bringing everyone back to work as of May 4th.
So dumb.

Unless you are essential workers, I don't think that is happening.

I work for a medical practice so we are technically essential but most of the staff has been furloughed at least a percentage and most of us are working from home currently.

they sent out an email yesterday that they are recalling all furloughed staff as of 5/4 but some can continue to WFH if capable.
I am a manager though, so I will be expected to come into the office. :(

if you guys aren't predicted to pea****il mid-May (we aren't, either), I'm surprised he's contemplating lifting the ban - or is this current ban in effect for another three or four weeks?

GUYSSSSS

So, WFH has me all kinds of messed up...obviously my routine is all over the place because my commute to work is normally at least 40 minutes, so Ive been waking up later and able to spend more time with my husband and daughter but now I really don't ever want to go back to work WAAAH.
too bad, they just sent out an email that they will be recalling all employees back as of Monday 5/4, so I will need to start going back into the office and wearing a MASK which really is giving me serious anxiety. I have a huge fear of suffocation when my face is covered, I don't even like wearing scarves in winter that cover my face or having blankets over my mouth at night...so I don't know how I am going to deal with this.
I survived wearing one at the grocery store for about 20 minutes last week but it was brutal...not to mention it makes my glasses fog up! I do not know how I am going to deal with it :(

I have lost and gained the same 3-5 lbs over and over the last few weeks, which isn't terrible but it's not ideal either. I have actually been a lot more active the last few weeks whenever the weather cooperates...bike rides, walks and running outside...but I don't think it's counteracting the muffins and crackers. Also, our less than one year old refridgerator decided to stop getting cold last week and it took 5 days to get a tech to come look at it...and another 8 days after that before he can get back here to fix it...so in the meantime all our dairy products went bad, and most of our meat that wasn't in the freezer. DH went out and got a mini fridge to tide us over til they can get here next tuesday to fix it but I don't want to go shopping again until its fixed so we are pretty low on options right now.

I don't mind the quarantine really except for my kid not having anyone besides myself and my husband to socialize with and it's really tough on her. She misses her friends and her school and I just found out that even though school is canceled the rest of the year, they are still charging us monthly for pre-school because they're doing E-learning...WTF?! its PRESCHOOL...its all voluntary e-learning anyway and its literally just suggested "projects" posted by her teacher to do with her...Thanks but I think I can come up with ideas myself and NOT pay $165 a month.
I ended up dropping her from the program because WHY would I keep paying money for NOTHING. so stupid!
Since I didn't drop it before the end of April they are still making me pay for April even though she has not attended school since mid-march. I am super angry about it. especially right now when money is tight. such a WASTE.

end rant.

QOTD: definitely "In charge of everything" ...I mean I usually am anyway though, so it's not that different lol.

Morning: coffee w/SF vanilla creamer
B: probably some oatmeal with PB and dried cherries...like a PB&J oatmeal? I really miss my yogurt :(
L: leftover turkey kielbasa w/peppers and onions
AS: protein bar
D: I should probably cook something but our options are getting low...maybe shrimp curry w/peas and cauliflower rice.
ES: Apple w/PB

I'll probably do some youtube exercize videos with story tonight since it's supposed to rain the rest of the week and I am only a fair weather runner LOL.
