Mornin' All!

I took our formerly sick cat to the vet's this morning for follow-up blood tests. He vomited yesterday, which I'm hoping is just a fluke and not the pancreatitis coming back. Although she did tell me it tends to come and go. Crap. Otherwise, he has been doing great. Well, we'll see how the blood looks. I noticed on the invoice they're doing a liver test as well.

I have to go out sometime today and get more canned cat food for him. He's a picky eater and I happened to stumble upon a kind that he loves -- so I'll load up on it today (although maybe I should just get a couple of cans. It's happened before that he loves something, and then a week later, he hates it...)

I made some of that whipped coffee stuff this morning that I've been hearing about lately - 3 T instant coffee (I used instant espresso), 3 T sugar or the equivalent in artificial sweetener, 3 ****er. Then you whip it up with a mixer (it really does whip up! Amazing!) and put a dollop of it in a glass of milk with ice. Only I put my dollop in a vanilla protein shake. Not bad - but Fit Frappe is better. But I had to try - and now I have a Plan B if I run out of Fit Frappe...

QOTD: the nature one for sure. The only thing that is making it OK to be stuck in my house at this point are our daily walks (well - mostly daily. We don't go if it's raining or too cold). Last night I was starting to feel down - which is very unusual for me. So we went for a 30-minute walk around the neighborhood. I felt better almost immediately.

TSS: 4y10m

B: all I've had so far (at 11:00 am) is my usual coffee with half & half and my protein shake with the dollop of coffee whip (and some light Cool Whip) on it

L: 2 Costco chicken skewers with Fage yogurt (I'm Sheila's twin today!). Maybe a small salad with light dressing.

AS: L&F yogurt with raspberries, raw veggies with dip if needed. Maybe a skinny bagel with light cream cheese.

D: veggie pasta with homemade marinara sauce and TJ's turkey meatballs

have a great day, everyone!

I had seen those yummy things on you tube but didn't think it was for us, because duh, I hadn't thought of replacing the sugar with artificial sweetener. I'll try that in the near future. I wonder how it would taste on top of cold coffee. I don't drink milk.

I was second guessing my decision to do WW, and went online to cancel my subscription last night so I don't get charged once my free trial month is up, and they offered me two more free months, so I guess I'm going to give it 3 months now. LOL I think maybe I need to switch to blue or purple and focus more on figuring out what the zero foods are and cutting back on the extra point foods. I just can't seem to get into the swing of things. I haven't logged my meals like this in ages, so it feels counter intuitive. That said, eating the way I have been the last few months obviously isn't working (hello, 25 lbs regain!), so something has to give. Once I've eaten up the higher point foods I have in stock at home I'm going to replace them with more zero foods. Ideally I'd like to be eating lean protein, fruit, veg, and a small amount of fat. That's what leads to weight loss for me personally, I just don't seem to have the will power after dinner every night. Especially not while TOM is in the house.

QOTD: trapped with family

Menu:

Meal 1: Kale lentil salad

Meal 2: Leftover taco meat nachos

Meal 3: Not sure yet...

5/7/2020 Regain SW: 237.6 lbs, Target LW: 211.2 lbs (-26.4 lbs), Final GW: 140-199 lbs

I'm having a hard time on WW right now, because of the pandemic food I bought is shelf stable and not the fresh zero point foods. I refuse to risk everything to go out to the store when I have enough food in the house, but its hard not to eat all the crackers in one sitting. I never have rice, pasta, potatoes and crackers in the house... never! But here we are. This to shall pass.

I did the same with Veggie Chips... My husband purchased them for our kiddos and I think I have snacked a few times too many on them because they're easy!

QOTH: Can't concentrate. LIterally everything came at me at once today and I yelled at my kids for nothing because I was stressed. I had to sit down and apologize to them for overreacting. Took a step back and thankfully, they made me feel better with their little "Daniel Tiger" anecdotes

Breakfast: 1 Eggo Waffle with 1TBS Peanut butter

Snack: Cucumbers and veggie chips

Second Snack: Veggie Chips

Lunch: Spaghetti noodles with homemade meat sauce (we still have leftovers... apparently I made enough sauce to last me a lifetime)

Dinner: Smoked Chicken Thighs, Asparagus and Cauliflower rice
