What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
It's foggy and 49 degrees here this morning but at least the rain has stopped. Hope to finish the shrubs and butterfly garden today if it's not too sloppy. If it's too muddy I'll sort and clean storage rooms instead. We probably will head home sometime this week as we're about done with our work list unless things get added. Then I guess I'll have to clean and organize my house to keep me from diving into snacks and gaining a bunch of weight. I sure will miss the peace and quiet and the beautiful trails and scenery! We're signed up to come back here in a year. QOTD I have 0 throw pillows at home as hubby throws them into the corner but do have 2 in the camper:1 on the couch to make the arm comfortable and 1 on the bed. He does actually lean against the 1 on the couch. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 120.4. Got my fluids in and didn't take any extra bites either. Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz chicken salad D 4 oz onion burger with cheese and no bun. I will stay away from all the snacks that shout out to me. Have a wonderful day full of healthy choices and stay safe everyone!
I have never just bought a separate throw pillow. The ones I have are what came with the couches or with the bedspreads. That being said, I am short and would not want to do without them. My cat likes to have a throw pillow positioned on the end of a couch so she can rest with her head on it. There are several that have become hers.
I never got into just buying them and scattering them around. I like the look, but I try to having nothing out that can make things feel clutttered. I know it is old fashioned, but I want every item in the room to match or coordinate with everything else.
My throw rugs also match. The throw pillows and throw rugs never get thrown in my house.
Last summer I was on the way to putting a flower arrangement in the trash. I had made it about 25 or 30 years ago. It no longer matched anything and was just sitting in the bedroom. As I passed a table in the family room, I wondered how it would look there. I sat it on a table there and loved it again.
It does not match anything but is a great accent. I want to do more of that.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning, everybody!
I spoke with DD and she is officially considered to be recovered and out of quarantine. I am not sure when they are going back to Waco because they are loving the warm weather and outdoors in San Antonio. School is virtual anyways. But I do think they will head back sometime this week.
This looks to be another stressful week at at workout I am hoping that the project that is killing me will be completed this week. If it does, work should be much better for awhile.
Tomorrow is my 54th birthday.
QOTD: We have a number in our family room. I like to use them as mini-blankets, if I just need to warm up a little bit.
