Whats on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning, everybody!
I think that tomorrow is going to be the turning point in this miserable project that I have been working on. Next week should be much less busy.
I have worn jeans and dress shirts a number of times for conference calls, but have not worn dress pants or a blazer since March 9th, at least. Since it remains freezing here, I mostly wear sweatshirts and sweatpants. Looking forward to moving onto shorts sometime soon. Illinois virus cases are still increasing by 1,000 per day, so I don't think we are going back into the office any time soon.
I have a CASA board meeting this morning, by video, so I actually will be getting dressed after I get my coffee.
QOTD: Copious amount of peanut butter on one side of the bread. Clean the knife off on the other side. A little bit of jelly on the other side. I can understand the theory behind the peanut butter on both sides people, but have never tried it.
Breakfast: sausage and cottage cheese
Snack: protein bar
Lunch: turkey
Sack: nuts
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

Ok this is so weird. I had no idea it was a thing. Also, all of you "clean the knife" after the pb and before the j? How the hell do you do that? I just use a second knife! Randomly, I made this for the kids lunch yesterday. One kid likes NO crust, pb only. One kid likes no crust, pb on one bread, tons of jelly on the other. The third kid eats whatever so that means crust stays on, equal pb and j.
I made the kids brownies yesterday (from scratch) and I had a small edge - they turned out really good. The kids practically licked the plates. It's so funny how much they love sugar. Since everyone worked really hard and had a great attitude with distance learning this week, we promised them Chipotle delivery tonight. And Chipotle emailed me that today is double points, so we are sure to earn a free entree.
B: 5 oz ever roast chicken, munster cheese, mashed avocado
L: TBD - the kids will have ham or pb and j and grapes and yogurt, but I am sort of at a loss
D: Chipotle burrito bowl - I actually really dig their sofritas vegetarian option as my "meat" but that means I better have a very high protein lunch, so maybe lunch should be a can of tuna now that I think this through...
Have a great day, all!
And congrats on the grandson, Cynthia!!!
I am floored by the second knife concept.

Clean the knife? Second knife? I don't understand. There's a knife in your hand. Finish making the sandwich.

Love love love their Sofritas. Don't know how much sodium is in there but YUM!

Good morning. All going well in quarantine land. I'm trying CBD oil on my back, helps a little so far. Down another half pound, so that's good.
QOTD - I don't have kids and my wife likes plain JIF and strawberry jelly, while I use more nut butters and a variety of other specialty jellies I've picked up on vacations, etc. So this might turn your stomach, but I spread the nut butter, lick it off the knife and then put the jelly on the same side. No one else uses my jelly. I guess my mother didn't teach me right. I sometimes will do that to both sides. However, I think now that I generally only eat one slice of toast and cut it in half or fold it over - its kinda mute ;) I do enjoy adding some slices of banana (my dogs do too, as I give them the rest of the banana).
B - oatmeal and protein with nuts
L - turkey and 1 slice fiber bread, apple
S - yogurt greek style
D - Chicken burger and salad
S - Sherbet

Good Morning and Happy Friday-Eve! Yay for an outing, we had to do a Target pick up run on Tuesday but I haven't been in a store in at least three weeks but I think longer. I want Starbucks but will continue to wait. I'm wearing jeans today and have tried th at least a few days a week.
Accountability: Bottomless pit day. Snacking happened and today is a new day. I plan to not eat any of the frozen peanut flour chocolate chip cookies I made more of over the weekend (I knew I shouldn't have made more!)
QOTD: Peanut butter on the slice of bread then the jelly on top of that. Doesn't mix but "rests" on top. I was a fan of the triple decker (imagine that!) which is adding a slice of bread to the middle and of course more PB&J. John adds butter to both pieces of bread before spreading the PB&J. Anyone else singing...peanut butter jelly time?!
