Whats on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?

Morning everyone! When is the last time you put on a real outfit? I feel so fancy when I wear jeans now... its ridiculous, haha. But yesterday we had a big outing! Grim and I went to the Home Depot to get some things we needed to finish the built in (pics tomorrow!). I was literally running and jumping through the parking lot, yelling "I'm outsiiiiiide!". We also took a super quick trip into the grocery store while we were out to load back up on fresh foods. It had been 2 full weeks since I'd gotten anything, so I was basically eating from the pantry not the fridge, anymore. Its nutty how exciting that little trip was--maybe the highlight of my month?
Accountability: I stuck to my shakes for breakfast and lunch and I was totally satisfied but I took a cookie in the afternoon. No reason, it was stupid. But there are no more baked goods in the house so please pray that Grim stays busy and doesn't make anything new for awhile.
QOTD: How do you make a PB&J Sandwich? I have two very bored friends who are arguing about it online, and it is pretty funny to read their arguments and the comments. I am firmly on the team that says you put peanut butter on one slice of bread, clean the knife, then put jelly on the other slice before putting them together. But apparently there are a lot of people who mix them on the same piece of bread. Heathens! What do you do?

Good morning and happy jr Friday! Lots of meetings today but it starts with a panel training with my global colleagues about leading through the pandemic. I'm interested in hearing what other people have to say/anything they are doing I can incorporate.
i can relate to the running and jumping outside, I was excited to walk to the mailbox yesterday (also because there was a book waiting for me!).
qotd - consider me a heathen. Isn't it messy trying to merge the jelly bread with the pb bread? When you put the jelly on top of the PB, it stays orderly. Always wash the knife before putting in the jelly, though. Only monsters mix. This is true for those people that make PB toast and get butter in their PB jar -- what is wrong with people?!
Hmm, maybe I will have a pb English muffin tomorrow.
today, I'll do some elliptical during lunch (this is helping me actually take a lunch!) and I might have to do some snow shoveling (I haven't looked outside yet)
i have bookclub tonight so looking forward to that!

Morning! Today is my younger daughter's 11th birthday. Because of "the current situation" (will that forever mean COVID quarantine?) we obviously can't have a party with lots of friends. Last night we did a sleep over together in our 3rd floor guest room. We watched the new Pixar movie Onward (do NOT do that if you've lost a parent, holy cripes, SAD). We also did face masks and had some snacks of her choosing. The night of sleep was pretty poor. First it was too warm in the room and then the smoke alarm starting chirping low battery. I was glad to see it was 5:30 at the last wake up so I could get out of bed. I have today off work to hang out with her. We have a few gifts for her, we're going to do Su****ake out, and we have an ice cream cake in the freezer per her request.
QOTD: I'm the same as you, but honestly I was taught you don't get PB in the jelly jar or vice versa so you MUST clean the knife. I also actually eat my PB&J without the J, as I don't love it. If I'm being more honest the way we made it in my childhood was a nice thick layer of butter on one side and PB on the other. I haven't done that since I moved away from home I don't think! Who else also used to be put butter on bologna sandwiches?

The only two things my dad could cook were fried eggs and fried bologna sandwiches (or a fried egg and fried bologna combo); he would put butter on those!

We fried bologna (yes I sang the song as I typed it to make sure it was spelled right.) in a frying pan with butter. Never put it on the bread. But at easter we put butter and fresh ham on nut roll. Wow it was sooo good.
