What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

We all suck at self control, JB. That's how we ended up here! But we made good virtual friends out of the deal so it's all good! More dry but chilly weather here in Hot Springs this am. Plans include more window removal and installations and more leaf blowing. There is also a good size tree down in one of the trails so may have to help clean that up as well. QOTD I am happy to be with hubby and Miss Lily here in this beautiful place and that my boys are safe and healthy where they are too. Accountability was perfect yesterday both food and stepwise and weight is 120.2 today. Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz of frittata with cheese and ham D 4 oz crustless chicken pot pie. I will step away from the snacks here. Even though they scream my name loudly all the time I WILL stay far away. Have a great day full of healthy choices and stay safe everyone!

Good Morning! JB, I feel ya on all day meeting days, you can't get the "real" work done. Yesterday was a pretty normal work day (aside from the two daily touch base calls we have been having but they were concise and didn't last an hour and a half!)

Mornin' All!

One of the travel agents we've been working with on this Italy trip is supposed to call later on this morning with our options for canceling/rebooking our flights. I hope this is good news and we won't be out too much - or any - money (we COULD reschedule for the fall and have all change fees waived, but I'm afraid the virus might still be an issue then. I'd rather wait a year...). I also need to go to the grocery store sometime today - which I always have mixed feelings about (a chance to get out of the house vs fear of spreading or getting the virus). It's wonderfully sunny out again today, but still cold. I may force myself to get out and walk regardless, though. I need the exercise.

Accountability - I ate at the high end of my maintenance range yesterday instead of the low end. I've been doing that too often the last few days, so I need to back off. I'll do that today!

QOTD: I'm happy that my two cats who were having health issues are on the mend! That was the last thing I needed on top of the other stress associated with all the virus stuff!

TSS: 4y10m

B: protein oatmeal topped with 1 T mixed nut butter and L&F creme brulee yogurt, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt and blueberry compote

AS: piece of lemon blueberry yogurt pie (?). Or maybe L&F yogurt with raspberries. Or raw veggies & dip.

D: teriyaki salmon filet and cole slaw made with this sesame-miso dressing that I'd totally forgotten about until I was looking at fish recipes again last night!

have a great day, everyone!

Good Morning JB and Menuers,

Sorry to hear about the grill. I use mine all year and I don't think I could go very long without it. Just a suggestion but I have had mine for over 15 years and I just power wash every spring and every 2-3 years replace the the flavor bars and burner tubes. Weber is the best grill I ever had and they have a lifetime warranty. The company is very easy to deal with and they have a great following. I even think there are few Facebook Groups devoted to Weber Grills.

So yesterday work was as busy as I expected and the system here went down for about 3 hours. Wish they would have called and let me stay in bed a little longer but NO I just got to read my paper and look at my Avon book.

DH is now selling Home made mask. Not that it was his plan but so many people wanted them he couldn't pay for all the materials himself. So he is only charging $5 I don't think that is too bad.

Weather here is in the 40° so I did do treadmill instead of bundling up.

QOTD: Bertcast (Bert Kreischer podcast) Netflix I love Jo Koy live from Seattle. My DH has deep cleaned the house from top to bottom and I didn't have to lift a finger. No traffic to and from work. Saving money by not getting my nails, hair done and mindless shopping .

Accountability: Rocked it!

TSS: 2 years 4 Month 3 days 136 (lowest 130.8)

CB: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato w/Miralax and Fiber

MS: Oiko Salted caramel greek yogurt, cranberry almond elevation bar

CB2: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato

L: Tuna salad strawberries Chocolate Hummus.

D: French onion Meatloaf and carrots

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and my blood work has been good. My B12 has been High so I cut my sublingual to every 3rd or 4th day. And I have now added 500mg of Magnesium

Exercise: I will get in a walk on the treadmill (Did 3 miles yesterday)

Everybody have a Great Day.

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy

Good morning all!! Fortunately, I don't care for Cadbury eggs.....way too sweet. I tried one before WLS and didn't like and never tried again.

QOTD: I'm happy being home although when I think of the reason I HAVE to stay home I get a little stressed. Making masks has become monotonous but I know I'm helping others. My dog, Bernie, makes me very happy....most of the time. He makes us laugh and just brings such joy except when he barks and he barks at everything.

I need to go to Aldis for a few things. Ordering to pick up is at least a week out for any of the grocery stores. I tried ordering 3 items from Sam's and they are out of one of the items.

I rejoined WW yesterday. When my last special ran out I didn't renew thinking I would use Sparkpeople.com but that didn't happen. IMO, WWs is the best and I love the App. Way too much snacking. I'm up 8 lbs. and I don't want it to become 9 or more.

Making the Blue Berry Lemon Pie posted. WWs has a similar recipe called Zero Cheesecake. Very similar but the BB Lemon sounds even better. DH has to have a snack about 8:30 every evening and I think I need to have one too. This will give me a good option.

Eats today:

Premier protein

Click shake

Greek yogurt w/granola

Meat loaf, asparagus

BB Lemon Pie

G'morning all!

JB - you are a much stronger woman than I am. If I lived with someone who'd bake breads I'd be back to my pre WLS weight. I can't resist the smell and the warm bread fresh out of the oven.

Quarantine life is weird. Some days don't go by fast enough, and some days I completely skip a day. Yesterday I went about my day not realizing I never posted here on OH. I knew it was Mon, because I looked at the calendar 10 times, but somehow in my head it was Sunday.

Sorry about all the folks with bad weather. You definitely don't need this on top of the shelter-in orders. Stay safe.

Has anybody read "A little Life" by Hanya Yanghari? If you haven't, I highly recommend it. If you have, what do you think? From people I have talked to you either love it or hate it. I LOVED it. I warn you though, it has a lot of triggers so read the reviews. But if you read it pls talk to me. I finished it last week and can't get it out of my head. The characters will stay with you forever.

QOTD: happy about my little projects around the house. Happy although DD is on the other side of the country, she is happy and healthy. Happy my little family nucleus is practicing social distancing, and we haven't killed each other yet.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: Protein coffee
  • L: 2 scrambled eggs + 1/2 oz shredded cheese
  • S:1 single package cheese whisps
  • D: Inside of a chicken burrito (no rice)
  • E: 25 cardio (elliptical) + 45 min strength training

Happy whatever day is today!

I read it a few years ago and really liked it. Well "liked" is a weird way to describe a book that haunts you. I don't remember all of the details anymore today have a deep dive convo about it, but I remember some of the parts that stuck with me, but moreso the feeling of being so overwhelmed with emotions by the end. I remember thinking I needed to take a day off work to process, lol.
