QOTD- I thought I had some cute clothes but after seeing myself in pictures they were not flattering and I just looked fat. I used to have to buy any clothes that fit, not necessarily the style or color I wanted.
Another day stuck at home and not very wise food choices. Too much salt and not enough water. I will do better with the water and try to avoid the salt today. It's been beautiful here in the high 70's yesterday and it will be again today. I should have gone for a walk, no excuses I just didn't do it.
I need to file down my nails as I am 2 weeks past when I normally get them done and they are long. No matter what I do they aren't going to look very good.
The sad thing is there are so many things that I could be doing but I just haven't been motivated to do them.
My next door neighbors are moving permanently to Mexico, and after seeing where they are moving to and the cost of living I am thinking seriously about moving as well. I would go as soon as possible except for one thing my Mother is here and I'm the one closest, my brother is 10 hours away and rarely visits. My Mom did say she would go with me, but I doubt she is serious. It's good to dream...
Have a great Friday everyone!

G'morning all!
Yesterday was our first day of beaches and parks closed. No big deal. We adapt. Luna took a different route for her walk, on the train tracks. I did my wog in the neighborhood (my route has too many steep hills for me to run them, hence the wog). But DH didn't wanna give up his surfing session. He heard through the grapevine that about 45 minutes south of us ppl can go to the beach as long as they show a local driver's license. He took off mid afternoon and came back in a very foul mood. He considers himself "local" but the rangers told him he was from another county, hence not local. It took me a lot not to laugh out loud and show a sympathetic face. The sacrifices you do to be a good wife!
Have you guys noticed now with everybody wearing masks you can't see if ppl are smiling at you or not? I always smile at ppl when we make eye contact (I know, not so common in big metropolis or east coast, but in CA we are friendly). Yesterday I realized no matter how big I smile the person can't see it and she/he might be smiling but I can't see it. It was kinda depressing.
QOTD: NOTHING!! I miss nothing about my old obese self. I was so mad at the time that I wouldn't even buy clothes. I had a pair of work pants size 18 that wouldn't button up but it was so tight on me that it would stay up anyway. Then various tent size tops. Ugh!! Hated them and hated myself.
My meals yesterday:
- B: Protein coffee
- L: Costco egg bites
- S:cheese whisps (found single portion bags at Costco)
- D: grilled salmon (3 oz) + roasted veggies (1.5 oz)
- E: 4.1 mile wog
My pic is of the shirts I got for my kids (both graduating this year). Thanks again, Jen, for the suggestion. I'm giving it to them for Easter. Sent the one to DD already in her easter package.
And these are of my roasted veggies from last night. Very proud of them.
Happy Friday and if you celebrate Easter Happy Easter!

When I shopped on Sunday, I said to the man who was counting people in and out that "I'm sorry you can't see I'm smiling at you" and be said smile anyway, we can tell by the eyes!! (I always take my shades off walking up to the doors). So there's that....but I am a smiler as well and it's sad to not see the smiles back!

GERD - Hello darkness my old friend.... I do not drink morning coffee anymore because of my GERD.. very sad state of affairs. Occasionally I make cold brew and drink it hot in the afternoon. It has been about 3 weeks since I have even had a cup.
I will be honest I am definitely in a funk being home. I have not been productive. Or at least as productive as my mind thinks I should be. My weight is absolutely fine- I have gained nothing but my lack of routine and grabbing snacks or whatever is just stressful.
I ate 2 unplanned bars yesterday. I did not make the shrimp tacos but did make chicken schwarma- another dish that is never a miss.
- protein hot chocolate, low carb French toast
- frittata, veggies
- oatmeal, whey protein (post workout)
- Chicken schwarma, slaw, veggies
- S: nighttime casein protein, tbd
Ex: Today is one of my bigger exercise days. Have been doing M-W-F. I rest and do lightweight yoga/stretching, walking other days. My little bit of routine to keep me going.
PHOTO- OH is not cooperating in this department today. So words to meme I found that I thought was funny:
The more food you hoard, the more TP you need. It is a Catch Twenty Poo.

I terribly miss coffee. Even cold brew kills me. It is a sad state to be in! So. Sorry you're dealing with it too.
Mel
I can only manage the cold brew if I have it in the afternoon. I had one yesterday - it was the first coffee in 3-4 weeks. I cannot do every day.

Mornin' All!
Well the kitty came back from the vet clinic yesterday in much better shape than he was in when we took him in in the morning. They were able to find alternatives for all of his pill medications (one is a liquid that we have to squirt in his mouth - he hates it but it's way easier than pilling him, one is a transdermal gel we'll put on his ear, he got a long-lasting steroid shot to replace a third, and one we now have in a syringe that we'll put in his fluid line when we do his subQ fluids (which amazingly, he tolerates pretty well). THANK GOD! They also cleaned him up (but unfortunately, they didn't shave or clip the fur on his hind quarters, which still had a little smeared stool on it), and he stank (which was a really problem since he sleeps with us - up on the pillows), so we washed it off as best we could with some cat shampoo I bought years ago. Not perfect, but much better. He's eating now - not much - but at least it's something. Maybe take a few more days before he's totally back to normal. His affect is back to normal - he's a happy kitty and has been jumping on & off the bed and is out and about around the house. YAY!
accountability was good yesterday. I went slightly over my calorie goal because I'm on augmentin (for when he bit me when I was trying to pill him), and my PCP and the pharmacist both suggested I take it with some yogurt. I was already at my calorie limit for the day, so I had another 80-ish calories (L&F yogurt). Oh well - not much and I didn't have much of a choice. I still call that a win!
I'm playing online Mah Jong with my usual group this afternoon (the group that's been meeting IRL for a year). We played Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't too bad once I got the hang of it. Other than that, not much on the agenda for today. Hopefully I can get out for a walk at some point...
QOTD: I had a couple of sweaters I liked, but basically, no. Like someone else mentioned, I had to buy what actually fit, not what I liked, and most items didn't fit both of those categories.
TSS: 4y10m
B: plain Greek yogurt with cranberry/cherry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake (I'm having breakfast late again, so this'll most likely be moved to the afternoon)
L: salad with diced chicken breast and light dressing, "bagel skinny" with light whipped cream cheese
AS: I'll be playing Mah Jong, so probably baby carrots or air-popped pocorn (??)
D: either chicken salad (made with plain Greek yogurt) or spaghetti (I made marinara sauce yesterday - and I have some vegetable pasta in the pantry and some turkey meatballs in the freezer..)
ES: L&F yogurt (so I can take my antibiotic)
have a great day, everyone!
Can I just say that I LIKED what everyone said, but OH is only saving some of them! So frustrating!
