What's on your (PHOTO FRIDAY) Menu, RNYers?
I rarely get migraines - or any kind of headaches - anymore. Not sure if it was surgery or menopause. I was worried about not being able to take ibuprofen anymore because of my frequent headaches, but it hasn't been a problem AT ALL since they're pretty much gone. Sometimes I'll get a mild one in the morning (but not the migraine type), and a couple of Tylenols will usually knock it out. Amazing!
Our cases might be different but yrs before WLS when I was on Atkins diet I had noticed the decrease in number of headaches. Once I went back to regular eating the migraines were back. After WLS I've had 1/100 of the previous headaches. When I asked my PCP she said it's the carb.
Low carb=no headaches.

Good morning, everybody!
I'm having a tough week work wise. Really glad it's Friday. But I have a high stress conference call at the very end of the day, so I can spend the entire day agonizing over that. I should be thankful that I have a job, though.
QOTD: I have a few blazers that I wish I could magically shrink to size.
Breakfast: Peanut butter toast
snack: protein bar
lunch: vegetable bowls
snack: nuts
Dinner: Pizza
Have a great day, all!

One word: seamstress. A good one.
I had few blazers that there was no way I would donate. The money I spent on resizing them is so worth it. You can't find those blazers any more.

Sheila - how can I tell the difference between a tailor and a seamstress? it seems like the local people just do hems, etc.

The guys at Nordstrom do only hemming. But you gotta find a shop that advertises as "alterations". They are independent from big stores. In my area there are 2-3 little shops, very much like shoe repair shops. You can't find them easily but once found they are like gems.
The one I go to is Polish, and looks like Mrs Claus...I love hearing her talk and her accent.

Good morning, and happy Friday!
QOTD - not really, I got rid of them when I could so I don't really remember what I had? Plus, it was 11 years ago. The styles have changed. Sadly, I have not and I still live in comfy clothes when I can.
Breakfast - hot coffee (picture below) as I am still fasting
Lunch - Slice of bread (pictured below) some vegan cheese, and veggies on side
Snack - fruit smoothie, frui****er oat milk, chia seed, hemp seed protein
Dinner - Something veggie, something bean, something pasta- its all up in the air for now
My brother in law dropped off a fresh baked vegan loaf of bread, and I have to share a pic of it. He and my sister have been vegan for years, and I wish I had a quarter of his cooking/baking skills!
It was still warm when I went to retrieve in the mailbox. And a pic of coffee just because.
Have a wonderful day y'all!
Christina
Let it begin with me.
