What's on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Ouch. Good thing he walked away. Most stories you hear about falling from roof doesn't end well.

Yikes, hope he is okay! Not a good time to need a hospital trip for anything unrelated to the virus!

Well,we've made it to Thursday again. I got the cottage finished yesterday and even swept and mopped the floors. It looks like a different building and I would gladly move in there. It has a perfect lakeside view with big windows all around and will be used for counselor housing. The inside was trashed up and whoever put the doors in left a 3 inch gap above 3 of them. It's amazing what a little drywall and lots of paint can do to freshen a place up. Today's project is helping hubby install windows and a last coat of dark green paint on the dish window area. Miss Lily and I got 2 long walks in yesterday where she sniffed a rat snake and a swallowtail butterfly. There's definitely a reason we call her Miss Nosey! Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and there were no extra snacks or bites taken. All the candy is hard to resist but I am managing it by keeping myself busy and drinking my fluids. Weight today is 120.4. QOTD I've been staying in the car when we go to the store because my RA which is an autoimmune condition and the medication I take for it which suppresses my immune system makes me at extra risk. Hubby wears his woodworking mask and the gloves we wear for painting. Before this, who could ever imagine dressing like that to go shopping! Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 c cheesy broccoli soup D 4 oz of whatever protein hubby cooks and no snacks. Be safe and have a wonderful day full of healthy choices!
Glad to hear you are being careful.

Good morning JB and menu folks. Sorry to hear you are feeling overwhelmed JB. We will get past this virus, my personal feeling is that we will be wearing masks much longer then we would like to be. I am off tomorrow and trying to figure out what I am going to do as I have already raked the front and side yards, I suppose I will use my Lawn tractor and use the dethatcher for the backyard. I also need to put " Montreal Canadian" wraps on my corn-hole boards. We are really missing our get togethers with friends, even though we all video chat a few times a week. It is hilarious as we all act like little kids when doing the vid chat. Silly level is high!
QOTD - We have received many of the cloth handmade masks from Neighbors and friends,I have a couple that fit very well so clean and rotate. My buddy owns an Auto body shop and gave me a case of 20 N95 masks so I could send some to my elderly folks and their friends. I still have quite a few and will use one if I have to fly and get my folks in Florida. I have them convinced to stay put for now, I need to get down there and close their Florida place as well as open their Vermont home, but just a matter of when at this point.
Accountability is spot on - been a good week since I am back to my normal routine.

Glad to hear you are finding a little silver-lining fun with your virtual chats. I am making more of an effort to Face Time instead of call, when I can. It's good to have that face to face connection when we can!

Good morning, everybody!
Our warm weather streak has ended at two days. It was nice while it lasted. I have a pretty good amount of work to do today, so just a quick post. DD seems to be doing fine now, this is day 11 since she was infected and hasn't developed a fever yet. Of course, she has taken that as a reason to stop providing us with updates.
QOTD: When I go to the store, I have been wearing a painting mask. It's really not form fitting to my face, so I'm unsure as to how much good it will do, but it certainly won't hurt, so I'm going with it.
Breakfast: sausage
Snack: protein bar
Lunch: chicken
snack: nuts
Dinner: hamburgers
Have a great day, all!

Your daughter's attitude makes me laugh. No matter where these kids grow up and what kind of parents they have, they all have the exact same attitude.

I had a coworker whose kid stayed out past curfew and wouldn't answer the phone, and she literally said, "I'm going to kill her for not telling me she was alive". I've never had to parent a teenager, but I am guessing that about sums it up--desperately wanting them to be alive and simultaneously wanting to kill them?
Have you seen any of these photo lists of masks people have put together? My favorite has to be the dog cone. Maybe you can get some inspiration there!
