Absolutely it has been in the low 70's. Is is supposed to get cooler Friday and be in the 50's and low 60's over the weekend. However Last weekend I saw people hanging out in there yards sun bathing. Not something you typically see in March here in Pittsburgh.

G'morning all!

JB - that extra room sounds lovely and perfect for an office. Post pics when you move in.

Our county just closed all state parks, beaches, dog parks, etc. Starting tonight. Coincidentally the closure is only for one week during the Easter holidays. They specifically said they don't want Valley people (Silicon Valley) to come to the beaches during the Easter break.

Naturally locals are up in arms because if you live here you are used to take beach walks, and all of a sudden no can do. I am bummed because the woods where I go running is a state park, so that's gonna close too. Oh well, I guess I'll hit the pavement, unless they tell us you can't leave the house at all. I'm not sure where we take Luna on walks if it's considered state park or it belongs to the resort. We shall see starting tomorrow.

DH is so upset. Last night with all his surfing buddies they were texting back and forth, complaining about not being able to surf. And it's not that they surf in groups, they have to keep their distance to catch waves! Anyway, rambling on because we had it easy so far having been able to exercise outdoors but now we gotta do it indoors.

QOTD: Houses 2,4,6. Except for House 1 I like somebody in all the other houses. Although if forced into house 3 Oprah is the only one I would talk to.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: Protein coffee
  • L: 2 chicken skewers + Fage yogurt
  • S: L&F creme brûlée
  • Vegetarian chili (low on beans high on veggies)
  • E: 4.5 miles jog

Happy hump day!

I read yesterday that Paris has said no outdoor exercise between 10 am and 9 PM because it's gotten so crowded

My brother told me in Italy it has been no outdoor exercise since the beginning. So folks who don't have dogs are jealous of the ones who have dogs, because they are allowed out for 1/2 hr a day.

Yes! Someone who works for me in Spain said people are "renting" out dogs since the only way to be allowed out to walk is with a dog :( How crazy things are...

I recommended this to my neighbors and offered to pay and had NO takers!!! Now, if their dog comes to my yard during quarantine, I'm keeping it...to protect them from my germs!! (No pets have come into my yard, although a bunny seems to be making its home under a bush in my front yard)

Mornin' All!

well as I thought, my 15-year-old kitty has pancreatitis. So that means meds for pain and nausea, plus a steroid to manage the inflammation. He's HORRIBLE to pill, so this is going to be tough. He's still in the closet but at least looks a lot better than he did yesterday - maybe it'll take another day or two before he's feeling back to his old self.

My regular Mah Jong group (whom I've been playing with every Tuesday afternoon for probably close to a year) has discovered online Mah Jong. They played on Monday but I hadn't yet joined (it's $50 for the year, and I wanted to make sure it was at least semi-OK before I joined, too). They liked it, so I joined yesterday. I was going to do the tutorial, but it was down - and still is - but I read through the instructions and this sounds pretty straight-forward. Anyway, they decided to play again this afternoon, so I'll be joining them. I'm really looking forward to it. Plus this is going to be great because I can now play Mah Jong whenever I want to - even at 2:00 am if I can't sleep and there are people out there who want to play (and yes - I'm addicted!). This'll be especially great since we're pretty much homebound these days...

accountability was great again yesterday and I'm down another 0.6 lbs since last week's official weigh-in. I"m happy that I'm now very used to eating 1500 kcal/day again (took a couple of weeks, but this level seems normal again now). I had 1720 the other day (too many treats - see JB's meme) and felt like I'd just eaten Thanksgiving dinner. Ugh. Anyway, I'm so glad I've gotten my eating under control again.

QOTD: probably 4. Although there's at least one person in every house who'd drive me nuts - and at least one other whom I'd be happy to be with (too bad we can't rearrange the people in these groups!)

TSS: 4y10m

B: coconut Greek yogurt with 1/2 mango (diced), coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: chocolate "mousse" (made with cottage cheese & protein powder) with 2 T light Cool Whip and fresh raspberries

AS: I'll be playing Mah Jong - so may raw veggies with dip. Or an individual packet of nuts

D: fish taco

ex: it looks beautiful outside, so I'm thinking of a brisk walk this morning

have a great day, everyone!

I hope with the meds that your kitty will feel better soon.

Sorry about the kitty. I have taken my cat to the vet and paid for them to give her a pill. I did have a pill applicator that worked somewhat well. Glad he feels somewhat better.
