Mornin' All!

I have to take one of the cats to a vet's office in a town about 30 miles away to get an ultrasound since evidently no one in Madison is doing them right now. He's 15 years old and has had some weight loss and eating issues (he's become super picky). His recent x-rays showed thickening in several parts of his small intestine (indicating IBD or G/I lymphoma, most likely), but the vet wanted an ultrasound done so she'll have more info to go on. So...that's what we're doing today. I'll probably also make marina sauce and chicken salad. And take a walk. Otherwise...????

accountability was OK yesterday but not super - but my weight is lower this morning than it has been in months. I've really worked at it, though, so yay!!

QOTD: I don't remember what I wanted to be when I was a child. I used to draw floor plans a lot when I was pretty young, so I'm surprised one of my parents (both of whom were teachers) didn't notice that and encourage me to go into architecture. I also remember that when I was in high school, I at one time wanted to work for IBM. I lived in Raleigh, NC at the time, and I swear half my high school's fathers worked for IBM. I guess I figured everybody worked for IBM. I never really knew what I wanted to do as an adult, either - and my career path reflects that. I started out in IT, then went into (university level) student services, then back into IT, and then into librarianship (and I have three very divergent degrees - BS in computer science, MA in counseling psych, and MA in library science). So no - I didn't end up doing what I thought I would do - because I never really knew what I wanted to do!

So my question every morning is which hoodie do I wear, not exactly glamming it up for the food store. Ha.

Finally felt like I did something significantly productive on this quarantine. Binge watched Tiger King this weekend
And 2 days of yard work. Even took out my yard furniture so I can sit outside.

QOTD: I went to college for Psychology/Healthcare Administration and am still working in it in some capacity 40+ years later. I had no idea in jr/sr high though.

Cynthia - do you have access to enough equipment to do this partner workout together?

How do you do a virtual partner WOD?

I would have to scale- can only do single unders and while I have a pull up bar I cannot do a full pull-up - working on it. Either just a dead hang with scapula pull or could try eccentric lowering.

Nothing heavy J can think to deadlift @home

We would have to do it by text - one person goes and then texts when they are done. Rest until they get a text back. At 30 minutes we would just deadlift what we had and add it together.

I watched about 10 minutes and couldn't stand to see those animals kept in such horrible conditions and decided that guy is just plain nuts. I just feel for the animals, they should not be kept like that ever.

100% agree. Why we have like 8,000 Big Cats in the US as "pets" is beyond me! Aside from the cats being kept as pets, the people are NUTS. The whole concept is nuts.

Agreed. The tigers from Joe Exotic's "zoo" now live at awild life sanctuary in my home town. Odd duck runs it but the animals are really well taken care of and have lots of acreage to free roam (and even more at a ranch they have in southern Colorado, it's like 10,000 acres). There is a group in my office that does a lot of volunteer work out there. It's a much better life than they had had and I think the best place for them since they couldn't have been released.
