What's on your Saturday Menu, RNYers?

Not sure what is on my menu but I can tell you what is not. Soda, beer, lunch meet, potato chips, processed foods, any **** sugar substitute. Right after the Super Bowl I started make small changes and I have lost 30 lbs of my regain. What I have found is that if you go back to the simple rules (6 small meals a day, stop eating when you are full, don't drink anything for 30 minutes after you eat) the tool in you belly will start to work again. I do know that I will walk or ride my exercise bike for at least an hour getting my heart rate up and getting a good sweat.

Sounds simple. It's not. And there are different ways to be successful.

I have diet soda and protein bars every day. Lunch meat most days. I couldn't eat six meals a day, and not stopping until I was full got me to 500 pounds.

I'm glad to see you back on track. I hope you stick around.

Good Saturday morning all! I have no clue what I'm going to do today. I want to go somewhere, but that's kind of hard to do these days. Sigh...

QOTD: I always say I don't have time to read. I have a shelf full of books I've never read and several e-books I've purchased and never got around to reading or finish reading. So I think it's time to get back into that.

B: Coffee, coffee and more coffee

B2: 2 eggs scrambled and 1 turkey sausage patty

L: Raw baby carrots with hummus and 1 light babybel cheese

D: To be determined

S: L&F yogurt

Happy Saturday everyone!

qotd - I really thought I would have more time! Work is so busy and so mentally draining that when I log off, I?m not able to get much done out side of cleaning, exercise. I?m even having trouble getting through any books that require coherent thought, lol. I have gotten some projects done, started doing puzzles too! I have three virtual book clubs in the next two weeks so that will help my focus at least. And I am catching up on all the crazy shows.

Colorado instituted masks for everyone when you leave home now; here?s me in mine. It?s reusable.

today, once I finish watching Abducted in Plain Sight, I am folding laundry, finishing up some cleaning, working on puzzle, a one hour endurance intervals on the elliptical, and then a happy hour with friends late this afternoon.

have a great Saturday!

Mornin' All!

I'm feeling like a caged bird this morning. I REALLY need to get out and do something, but the only option really is walking (well, I could also go to the grocery store - but I went yesterday, and I don't want to go anymore than I have to for obvious reasons...). So....walking is it. Again. At least it's exercise, and the weather is beautiful. I guess we could go for a long drive, too..

QOTD: I've been meaning to get through the huge stack of books by my bed, clean the house thoroughly, go through boxes in the basement and attic that haven't been unpacked since we moved here 22 years ago, do some jigsaw puzzles, and organize my father's family history boxes, but I haven't made much progress on any of those (and NO progress on some of them). I don't know why I can't make myself do this - ARRRGGHHH!! I also need to find new pulls for our kitchen drawers and cabinets, a desk chair for a mid-century teak desk I bought last fall, and a chair or two for our porch - but those things are more fun to do and I HAVE been spending some time on those - but still no progress.

Accountability has been great all week, but my weight was up AGAIN this morning! I think I'm eating too much sodium. Chili is on the menu again today (we need to get through this stuff before it rots), and I think that's one of the culprits - so I may not see better news on the scale tomorrow :-(

TSS: 4 y 10 m

B: protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt and strawberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: Fit Frappe

L: 1 C chili, maybe a "bagel skinny" with light cream cheese

AS: L&F yogurt with raspberries or mango pieces

D: 2 Costco chicken skewers, salad with light dressing

ex: walking. Plus I HAVE to do weight today (another thing that I've really slacked off on!!)

Good morning menu friends.

yesterday was a very low and rough day. Why a obgyn would assume he knows better than a neurosurgeon just boggles my mind. I ate and ate and ate. I would of been ok with a postponement due to the virus stuff but a denial hurt. My pain has been bad lately so it just hit me like a ton of bricks. I've already got the appeal process started but it is just more time I have to wait and see what other people decide of my fate in this arena of my life.

hoping to get a nap in!

b:oatmeal & 10 Pringles

s:yogurt with bran buds

l:soup

s:PP shake with blueberries

d:salad

My youngest son had the same thing happen when he had to go to a surgeon paid by the insurance company. He's been working for a year with an ACL year that happened at work. They deny its workmans comp and now its tied up in the courts. He's essentially lost a year of earning capacity because he can no longer do his good paying job. Health insurance is a mess here!
