I'm new to all this!
I'm in the process of getting weight loss surgery. I originally thought of getting the sleeve. But, the dr said that due to all my previous history, he recommends the complete bypass. I have diabetes type2, high blood pressure. I've had 3 toes amputated in 2017. I'm just tired of trying over and over to lose weight. I want a better quality of life. I have 3 granddaughters and 2 great granddaughters, 2 & 5! Thanks for listening

The bypass surgery is something you desperately need. You are fortunate to have the ability to obtain it. Most who need it cannot get it due to lack of insurance or lack of money.
After surgery, you will follow the same type of diet that you need to follow to control diabetes, but the only difference will be that after surgery, the diet will work.
The surgery will reset your metabolism, eliminate hunger, often put diabetes into remission, and give you an opportunity to lose the weight and find your health again.
The changes are not permanent, but they last long enough for you to develop new habits that will help you to keep the weight off after the effects of the surgery are gone. This is a new chance at being healthy of the rest of your life.
