What's on your (PHOTO FRIDAY) Menu, RNYers?
Hello JB and Menuers,
Oh it's Friday really? I am still coming to the office and I think I will be here on Monday but they may make me WFH. I don't want to in any way shape or form but I have a plan if I have to. When i get up in the morning I can shower and put on my gym clothes that I only wear in the gym and it will help me be motivated to get out and walk. At lunch I get up and do 2 1/2 miles then after work I'll do another 2 1/2 miles to get my 10,000 steps in. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.
I also want to invent an app that will lock down the fridge and the pantry and only allow the door to open 3x a day for about 6 min after that you can't get in. I think I'd make a lot of money if I could do it.

You guys look great and thanks for the duckling picture! Here is my walking group having coffee at a distance:
We are planning to take a ride today to break the monotony. I'm realizing that it may be safer to stay here in Florida as right now the per capita rate of infection in my town at home in Massachusetts is 30 times the rate in my county here. So I bought a "mister" to make it cooler to sit outside since we can't go to the beach.

Hey everyone...
I haven't had much time to check in this week or last but it's Friday and the office has gotten quieter and quieter as the week progressed...I had to notify most of my staff yesterday they were all being furloughed...even I am technically furloughed as well, but since I am salary, I am still expected to show up every day for my regular shift but I just get a 25% pay cut.
I understand this is better than a lot of people get since they are being laid off or not getting paid at all, but it still sucks. I can technically also apply for unemployment to offset the pay decrease but chances are by the time the unemployment dept processes all the requests they've been inundated with, it will be September and I won't need it anymore.
needless to say, I am considered an "essential worker" in healthcare...I am at low risk for exposure since I work in the business office and do not come into contact with the public on a daily basis at work, and the staff has been cut quite low to protect everyone...I do have capabilities to work from home but since I had to furlough basically all of my department, I am responsible for doing all of their duties until the work load picks back up again and we can start seeing more patients...so I need to come in every day.
Thankfully, my husband just got all of his work from home equipment in yesterday and should be able to start working from home next week...and Story doesn't go to a public daycare, just a babysitter who doesn'****ch any other kids, so I feel like it's OK for her to remain going to her house knowing they're not leaving or being exposed to anything else while we are still working.
needless to say, like many, my eating habits have been all over the place. I've been super stressed, anxious, and trying my best to control my emotions with distractions. Luckily my weight is staying still but I know it's only a matter of time before these late night pretzels and peanut butter are going to catch up with me. I was planning on taking a nice run tomorrow morning but the weather forecast is looking like thunderstorms all day so that really sucks. I guess I'll try to bust out the old easel and get some more painting in...

So good to see you. Hang in there. As you said at least you have a job to go to.
If your husband works from home, can't Story stay home too? I'm asking only because here in CA they don't even allow babysitting jobs. Unless you live with somebody no swapping houses. Just be super safe.

I wi**** were that easy, unfortunately he works for JP Morgan and they are super strict with their work from home parameters. he needs to be in a room with a door closed, nobody, not even pets are allowed in the room while he is logged in, so he can't really watch Story while he's working.
His job did give him 5 paid days off to use during the shelter at home order so he is trying to take some half days since his normal schedule is 2nd shift (noon -11pm) so that way He can just log in after I get home around 5pm. but once his time off is gone, we will likely need to bring her to the sitter or else I will need to figure out a way to work from home myself.
In IL, all the daycare centers are all still open and functioning, which I think completely defeats the purpose of closing all the schools, but it really is necessary for all the essential workers who need child care...how are doctors and nurses, police, firemen, and anyone else that is necessary supposed to perform their jobs if they have young kids that need supervision?
I am just glad we don't have to send her to one of those places. We will just have to continue doing what we are doing until we are told we can't.

I'm super late! I've had plenty of work and also plenty of homework to work on today. I feel a little bitter about school right now as I can't seem to get myself into a groove again. My brain is too full for all that.
QOTD:
- Eggs,
- Ricotta Cheese & Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
- Internet & Ice Cream (which isn't the truth because my body hates ice cream)
- Nut Butter (I didn't think I'd get peanut butter in there, but I did it!)
My Food:
- Coffee w/ Cream x3
- Sweet Potato & Egg
- Cucumber, Turkey, Avocado, Cheese Whisps & Ranch (ie: salad without the lettuce since I ran out)
- Pork Chop, Asparagus
It's 80 degrees out so I'll probably be getting in a walk later.

I got to meet Annys new baby "Beatrix" via FaceTime!!! She is 8 weeks old and has the chubbiest cutest face!
My work life and social life are blending into one big string of Zoom calls, day and night! It's nuts. But it's keeping me connected which helps me since I am an extrovert and pretty much dying not being able to get out...I have been getting the kids out for bike rides and walks every day (when it's not raining) which helps all of our mental health!
Have a great weekend, y'all!
That baby is the CUTEST!!
