Whats on your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
I really don't get the gun thing at all (and Colorado is not the only place where that's happening). With so many people at home these days, I would think burglaries would DECREASE. Most burglaries happen when people aren't home - like on vacation or at work. I think there are those who are afraid people would steal their food, etc - but - we're HOME...
The nutjobs are preparing to take on the Govt. And/or the rioters after their hoard of TP (eyeroll)
My son, a police officer in the UK, was telling me Sunday that domestics are through the roof and particularly those with people with no previous.
NOT a good time for families to have a house full of guns!

IYeah, one of my colleagues (in OK) had her neighbor shoot and kill her husband (the neighbor?s not my colleague?s) earlier this week after just a few days. It?s pretty scary. I grew up in an unsafe home and cannot imagine how people are coping right now.

Good morning! We will finish the current project (washing blinds/windows) today. I need to come up with a new one, but there isn't much needed in our tiny condo here.
DD's job sounds similar. She was struggling to find stuff to do yesterday, but has meetings all day today so will have a pile of backup work after today. Fridays are always a half day for her and she has an interview for a promotion tomorrow (manager left a month or so ago and she has been acting manager since then) so she probably won't eat into the backlog much
QOTD: I have been reaching out to people from my Alzheimer's Support Group to see how they are faring. This puts so much stress on them whether their person is in long-term care and can't be visited, or at home and caring for them is escalating with little support available. I keep feeling thankful that my DH didn't have to live through this.

hi all
I left the house for an 'essential' run. People still don't understand 6 feet and I backed up many times. Also kids were left to run around in this store, and there was a little baby also. uggggg people have no concept but technically we ARE NOT under a shelter in place in this county there is the federal request only.
Grateful today for:
FEMA policy paid for and in 30 days I will have flood insurance!
Panera emailed me and extended my coffee subscription 60 more days for free! wahoo
I have coffee in my house and a folding table as a desk and a nice office chair
happy to be able to work physically and mentally

Good morning, everybody!
My daughter, has been staying with her boyfriend's parents for the last few days in Texas. We found out yesterday that her boyfriend's father hasn't been feeling well and went to the hospital for a COVID-19 test. I guess that it will take about 4 more days to get the test results. She said that he has been self-isolating in his room, but this has me feeling stressed.
I may be wrong, but it seems like anybody who gets the test probably has it.
Yesterday, I multi-tasked at work and worked out while on a conference call. I think it's a good system. Of course I would never do that during a client call, but for the H.R., COVID-19 updates, endless reminders that I have to bill, etc. its a good way for me to be more productive.
I have a videoconference for CASA this morning, so I need to shower and get dressed.
QOTD: not really. Marilyn has been good about calling our families.
Breakfast: Peanut butter toast
Snack: protein bar
Lunch: meatloaf
Snack: nuts
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!
